“Family Vacation.”

My family loved this hotel – everything was within reach, and the sea was stunning. We were getting ready for our boat trip, so we mostly explored Split, which is easily accessible by taxi. Additionally, the food at the hotel was excellent, and the rooms were spacious.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality, and the hotel’s breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea set the tone for an incredible stay. The room we stayed in was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with a private balcony that offered stunning sea views. Waking up to the sight of the sparkling water every morning was such a treat. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the room amenities left us wanting for nothing. What really stood out was how family-friendly the hotel was, particularly when it came to the pool facilities and the beach. The hotel has a beautiful outdoor pool with a dedicated shallow area that’s perfect for young children to splash around safely. There are plenty of sun loungers around, so it was easy to relax while keeping an eye on our little one. Additionally, there’s a heated indoor pool, which was a great option when the weather cooled off in the evenings. The private beach was another highlight. The waters were calm and crystal-clear, making it an ideal spot for our child to swim and play. The sandy and pebbly shoreline was well-maintained, and the shallow waters close to the shore were perfect for kids. Plus, the beach staff were always on hand to help with anything we needed. Dining at the hotel’s restaurants was also a joy. There were several options to choose from, and the food was consistently excellent. Whether we wanted a casual meal by the pool or a more refined dining experience, every dish was fresh and flavorful, showcasing the best of Mediterranean cuisine. The location is also ideal—just a short drive from Split’s Old Town, so it’s easy to explore the local culture and history, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the coastline. Overall, Le Méridien Lav is a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, with outstanding service and amenities that cater to both adults and children. We cannot wait to come back for another family vacation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Split!

Lovely resort hotel, very relaxing atmosphere. Room and breakfast were excellent **. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, particularly the housekeeping staff. Loved being by the marina and loved watching, from our balcony, the boats being moved about. Drinks in all bars were very expensive. We ate at the restaurants on site most of the time, fish restaurant was nice, but lacked atmosphere, the Italian was very nice - ate there a lot. However, the Spalatum buffet restaurant was very poor, it felt like the offerings had been made out of leftovers - in the same place as breakfast, which was excellent, was served, so we were very disappointed with the buffet. The Underside pub was great - we went there most evenings after dinner and the lady serving us was so nice and helpful. Pools were lovely. ** The only drawback was that our room (424) had an 'overhang' over the balcony which was the roost for all of the local pigeons, which resulted in pigeon poo all over the balcony every morning - not nice. But overall a fab hotel - loved it

OUTSTANDING POINTS Hotel cleanliness was outstanding & room service too. Very pleasant Front Desk/porter staff. Special thanks to Petra for efficiently arranging a hire car. Beautiful beaches. Excellent breakfast, great choice and very high standard fruit. NOT SO GOOD Very poor options served for evening meal. Regardless of whatever time we arrived some of the offerings in the food warmers were very dry (Particularly pasta dishes). Often dishes not identified with name of dish or ingredients. Ate out 3 times within the week to compensate. Car park barrier ticket scanner very intermittent on arrival back at hotel. €7 per night to park car. Would I use recommend this hotel - absolutely, but please review your evening meal menu choices.
