Overall an excellent stay at this hotel.Rooms are well equipped and adequate in size with good scenic views from the albeit small balcony .Pool areas proved popular with the usual early birds hi jacking all the best beds.Food was the only disappointment here lacking in taste and imagination,obviously made to a budget.....We were all inc. but ate out 4nights from 7.A tip at the bar...dont ask for non local drinks....very expensive.Special thanks to Roman and Alexandre for keeping us entertained during our stay.Beautiful area.Cavtat is gorgeous as is Dubrovnick.Would return to this hotel but on a reduced board basis.

Hotel was ok. We were B&B. Here is some pointers: + Great location (beach front, close to Cavtat, just 15 min walk flat road) + Big pool + Clean and comfy room - Breakfast could be better. “A Stunningly Beautiful Part of the World”

Between booking our holiday and eventually going, we read a lot of poor reviews for the Albatross so we were pleasantly surprised to find a little, clean & tidy hotel that offered nearly everything. We (parents & teenager), had a 3rd floor room in A Block overlooking the pool area. It gave us a pretty good sea view and at night we could also see the lights of Dubrovnik twinkling away. The restaurant is typically Croatian and attempts to cater for all nationalities.  It is a little repetitive but we always found something that we liked. The fizzy drinks weren't really to our tastes but were good enough as mixers. The beer & wine is a little rough but I've tasted far worse. The pool area is pretty basic but there are plenty of sunbeds & parasols. Of course, there is still a certain element who insist on reserving them at silly o'clock in the morning. But I'll give the staff their due, they do try their best to discourage such behaviour. The poolside snack bar is pretty poor but does basic fare. The beach is quite rocky as is the first 20 feet or so of the sea. So I would advise using water shoes (available locally or on Amazon). There are a couple of shops & bars on the beach if you don't want to go back to the hotel and you can hire sunbeds too. The water taxi to Dubrovnik also runs frequently from the beach and costs €20 return. Neither the pool nor beach has lifeguards so if you have toddlers, you'll need to be observant. The small town of Cavtat is 10 to 15 mins walk away and is worth a visit. Don't just visit the first part though,  walk through the alleyway near the bus stop and turn right to find the renovated part of town and more waterfront. Dubrovnik is a good day out though a little expensive with it  being a cruise ship stop but it's well worthwhile. We also did the Mostar (Bosnia), trip which was €69 each. At 12 hours, it's a long day but worth it. The guides are very informative and we had a  couple of hours to shop in  the Old Town flea market which is pretty cheap and we walked the famous Mostar bridge, had a bite to eat (very reasonable). If you want to sample Bosnian coffee, I can recommend Cafe De Alma, certainly  the best coffee shop anywhere. Bosnia uses the Convertable Mark as currency but the Euro is widely accepted too. If taking this trip, don't forget your passport, you'll need it to cross the border. Without a doubt, the best part of the holiday  was the scenery. I've travelled the world several real times over but, I've never been so amazed. It really is stunningly beautiful & mind blowing. We would certainly return.
