Whenever we go to HK, Tsim Sha Tsui is the best place to be - everything is here - shopping, food, culture, attractions, people and transportation. We were looking for something new but very affordable given the fact that HK is an expensive city like SG. While browsing through Agoda we saw Ramada HK Grand that matches our budget and a pretty decent review. So we didn’t hesitate because we also got a cashback offer from Agoda. We booked 3rd week of April for 4 nights a Standard room with city view for just 345 SGD++ not including the cashback we will go - so what a great deal we booked it right away!!! Located near Jordan MTR exit to your left on a slightly hilly and busy Austin avenue cutting thru the bustling Nathan road. There is a direct bus if you’re coming from HK airport which is no 21 and you could alight before Austin avenue which is 2nd to the last then you could make your way downhill until you reach Ramada on the right. The place is located perfectly amongst convenience stores, shops, places to eat, MTR, buses, etc.. The hotel lobby is quite unique because as you enter the place you will see the lift to the rooms to your right first, then concierge and a couple of lounge areas then deep inside is the check-in counter which I find a bit small compared to the overall space of the lobby. The name itsefl fits the bill - it is really Grand and Opulent - the design and interior of the hotel is very classic, romantic, European style - I feel like im in a British early 19th century post Victorian era hotel with a touch of modernity. The hotel is part of Wyndham hotels and is quite high at 29F. Check-in was fast and easy though and our room is located at the 18F and surprisingly even though they have many guests and just have 4 lifts the waiting time on the lifts were quite reasonable and not long. At 15 sqm, rooms here are similar to SG size and a bit bigger than Japan at 3 star hotel levels. As we entered the room, we were amazed by the classic, elegant, opulent style that it maintained most especially the Bronze wallpaper, the crystal chandelier, Silver table lamp with clock, Brown carpeted floors, Wood style vinyl flooring and of course the view of the city is quite panoramic. In short, we feel like were in Europe at the heart of Asia. Room was amazingly clean with a good view of Kowloon buildings and surprisingly spacious at 15 sqm for a very reasonable price. One thing we observed which is quite unique is the toilet/shower and sink are separated by the hallway near the main door. Sink on the right with mini-fridge below and the former to your left. There is no bidet and despite the smallness of the toilet its still manageable. They used a sliding wooden door here and the tiling is also like a Vinyl wood. Water heating and pressure is easy to manage and strong. They provide complimentary toiletries, water and clean towels during our stays. There is no wardrobe instead there a wall hangers for your clothes and the side table has tons of compartments including a small safety lock and also by the window there is a compartment and a small circular chair. They placed the cups and complimentary coffee/tea here. The blackout curtain is perfect and the lighting is very warm, classy, elegant and romantic especially the crystal chandelier and silver table lamp. There are power outlets by the bed and near the window. TV is wall mounted with tons of local and cable channels. Despite being 29F high WIFI is superbly fast. Only thing we find that may need an upgrade is their bed. We have 2 single beds and both were clean and the blankets/pillows are comfy except the mattress is so hard we feel i slept on rock or floor whenever we wake up. We didn’t have breakfast in our booking and just like check-in, check-out was also quite fast and smooth and we can leave our baggage in their very spacious air-conditioned baggage room. We left the hotel with a smile and farewell greetings by a very nice Auntie staff who sent us her farewells. Of course, a last minute selfie is a must by their Golden landmark on their front Red facade bearing the mark Ramada Grand HK!!! Booking a taxi or Uber is not difficult because it is by the main road. See you soon Ramada Grand HK and for sure we will recommend you to our families and friends who wants to visit HK in a Grand, Classic, Elegant style only your hotel could provide!!! M Goi Zai :=)

It's worth it. I really thought that this hotel is far from central but when I opened the Google Maps, it's walking distance to many commercial areas (Nathan Road, Canton, etc.) and it's very near Jordan station, which makes everywhere else really accessible. Although the room was small, but for the price that we paid for, the room size was actually just right. It's clean with comfortable beds, pillows and sheets. Staff was great, too. They were very friendly and helpful with our needs. If taking a taxi, better to ask for their help to avoid taxi drivers over-charging you with the bill.
