This is my second stay. My first stay took place a long time ago, in 2013 before I became a mother to a cute baby. The hotel was relatively new then, and I thought it had the modern surroundings, the vibe and the colonial architectures I loved. Time has changed, and this year (2024) I decided to take a functional trip to the city ( which I am glad has restored its stability). The hotel has aged a little bit, and that’s right, some visitors have given comments that the rooms are damp but this is due to the design ( not the structure) of the building - with the rooms being so small , the water vapour has nowhere to escape to after a shower. This hotel is a small hotel, as implied in its name , and therefore can only be classified as a budget hotel. The room I had booked cost me a mere £39 per night including taxes, which I would not have found anywhere else in the city, especially Hong King Island. To summarise, if your finances are tight, a solo traveler or back packer, and are very fit and strong (as the location is at the foot of the peak but most of Central, Hong Kong is not built on a flat land anyway), this hotel might suit you.

Great place if you just want a place to sleep and leave first thing in the morning. We were out from 9am until 10pm everyday, there is no room to “relax” as it is just a bed and bathroom. Great place if you just want a place to sleep and leave first thing in the morning. We were out from 9am until 10pm everyday, there is no room to “relax” as it is just a bed and bathroom. BRING A TOWEL!!! They offer “disposable” towels which is a piece of kitchen roll. They feel horrible. There is a Decathlon close to the hotel that sell microfibre towels, I would recommend getting one. Location is fantastic! Mixture of both shops and places to eat nearby, as well as MTR stations a short walk away. As long as you are ok with stairs. There is no privacy in the bathroom. You are using the toilet right next to the bed and it is fully transparent due to the glass. Other than that, the shower was spacious and the water pressure was good. Overall, the room does the job but don’t expect anything fancy.

“Bare bones hotel but good price - location .”

Very good location and fast check in . Room incredibly basic . Clean enough but a pretty bad paint job covering light sockets , window and many wall wires and plugs . Very moist aircon . Located in the Lan Kwai Fong entertainment area, one street behind is the party district. As others mentioned, if you have luggage, you will find the location to be restrictive. Access to the hotel you need to get up/down stairs. Going to the train station or even to the party area, you need to go up/down a long flight of stairs. If mobility is an issue, do not stay at this hotel. However, it is the most reasonably priced hotel in the area. My room was tiny. I couldn't even open my suitcase because my suitcase was wider than any area in my room. That being said, the price was so reasonable, I can't complain. They don't clean your rooms unless you've been there for more than 5 days. If I can complain about anything, it was the towels. They are disposable, flimsy, and slightly thicker than toilet paper "towels". I was here two nights and had to be super careful that my towels didn't rip. Fast internet both in your room and lobby area. They let you store your luggage for 10 HKD per piece. I would say that this hotel's target audience is young, budget-conscious travelers. No complaints but I probably won't stay here again.
