I would highly recommend Le Méridien Hong Kong Cyberport. Whilst part of a large chain, this hotel has a truly boutique style feel. From the music in the lift to the many touches of Frenchness around the public areas and inside the room, the property pays a great tribute to the brand’s roots. The room I was given was very functional, and I particularly enjoyed the high-tech TV. Minibar was well furnished, with an Illy Coffee machine slightly difficult to use at first until I got the hang of it. Bedding is top notch, and whilst the room I had was of the smallest size, it didn’t feel cramped. The bathroom was quite spacious; sadly no bathtub but the rain shower was adequate. One thing I would recommend the hotel to take note of is to put the toothpaste separately from the toothbrush. When I asked housekeeping for a toothpaste, I was told to take it from the toothbrush which is such a waste plus the toothpaste provided isn’t even enough for a one time use. The in room safe and closet are both very spacious; I particularly enjoyed the fact that the closet can be opened from both the corridor entrance as well as the bathroom; kudos to the designers! Room was very clean and I really enjoyed having turndown service. A small chocolate placed on the bed would be of no harm, this would make the turndown experience more memorable. The only thing in the room that disappointed me is the laundry service and I hope management can review it in line with other 5 star hotels. All Marriott hotels I stayed at in Hong Kong return normal laundry service on the same day at 7pm provided you gave it at 9 or 10am. This hotel returns it only the next day by 7pm and the express service seems to surcharge HK$1000 per time. Even the most luxurious hotels don’t have such prices for express service. Having a same day normal laundry service is quite essential in a 5 star premium property especially for business travelers. The wake-up call service is personalised which I really appreciate. The operator calls you instead of a robot; I hope it stays this way! I dialled the operator a few times to ask questions about transportation and request amenities; very good phone etiquette from the switchboard. However, after midnight, it seems operator switches to reception and the phone etiquette of reception staff isn’t as good. Requests for ice take over half an hour to reach the room. A 24/7 operator service could be considered. Back to the good things, room service is one of the best I have ever had: the quality was exquisite and so was the presentation. A true example other hotels should take! One thing however is the lack of night menu. The hotel should consider having a night menu for people arriving late, this is what premium properties normally do, they have a 24 hours room service with limited choices after 11pm. One of the thing I was looking forward to the most is the breakfast. What an amazing spread with products of great quality! I can confidently say this is one of the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had after Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. As a platinum member, it was included. Only thing that the hotel lacks F&B wise is a club lounge, probably because it doesn’t have enough rooms. Still, the 4th floor has plenty of space to hold a club lounge like area with many tables near the meeting room; a few evening amuse bouche and drinks for elite members would be appreciated. Talking about drinks, Latitude 22 bar team crafts amazing cocktails of your choice. Their creativity is simply stunning! Don’t let the hotel’s location shy you away! It is only a 20 minutes ride from Central and there is a free shuttle bus hourly. Overall and despite the few flaws mentioned, this was an wonderfully relaxing holiday and I would stay there again without hesitation.

In celebrating my Birthday, me and my partner just spent another memorable stay at Le Meridien Cyberport. Special thanks to Nicole Chan’s, front office manager, special arrangement to make our stay memorable. We checked in on 2 February. The standard check-in time is 3:00 pm. However, for some personal reasons, we had to be in the room before 2:30 pm. I called the hotel one day in advance trying our luck, only to find out they were quite busy. We didn’t expect anything then. On 2 February, Nicole Chan contacted me trying hard to accommodate my early check-in request. She also told me that we got an upgrade (again) from Le Meridien. I was over the moon. Nicole told me in detail about this suite because it was suite 1112, not 1301, their most special suite. I was delighted to learn about the upgrade so it didn’t really matter. We could check-in earlier to achieve what we needed to attend some matters. Nicole also arranged some cake to be sent to our suite. This is so sweet of her. In addition, when we arrived at the hotel lobby to check-in, I felt like the front office staff knew something about our arrival. Their staff, Sandy, did not need to know my booking reference. How amazing! After our check-out on 3 February, Nicole called me to follow-up on all the special arrangements that she did. I didn’t expect it too. This is one of the reasons why we keep staying at this hotel again & again. The people work there make the major difference. Please keep it up. We will be back again for sure. Thank you and we really appreciated everything. We will come back again.

Wanna stay in this new renovated and environment friendly hotel since last year. Our oceanside view room with a little corner window which is brighten with plenty of sunlight, comfy bedding and we love the layout of bathroom so much. We arrived the hotel in the late afternoon after gathering with friends. The hotel lobby is pretty decent with white marble designed, the digital screen displaying the visual arts is modern and bring us a great visual enjoyment. Sandy was so friendly and greeted us at the reception for check-in. She stated in details the hotel facilities and dining options to make us can’t wait to try it all. Thanks for the lovely room arrangement. We had an enjoyable time to dine in the hotel restaurants. The staff were responsive and service-minded at all time. Thanks Toni for making sure my MB points to be earned with my lunch at Nam Fong. Michael was so sophisticated and offered both of us the sweet soup as well. Hotel Concierge John introduced us to the hotel location and recommended where to walk around the hotel surroundings and truly appreciated his suggestions for having a lovely moment outside the grass after breakfast. By any chance, we would definitely come back again!

Last month I stayed this hotel for several days due to an event of the University of Hong Kong. Compared with the previous experience, this hotel is in a nice and tranquil location with ocean view. Overall, it is clean, comfort, and especially spacious compared other HK hotels. One day when I return to my room at night, I was so surprised that two birthday cakes on the counter top. I almost forgot it was my birthday. It really made me happy at that moment. It was a special trip so I missed my birthday celebration at home but this hotel did. It is Le Meridien. Thanks for the kindness and caring. Really appreciated.
