Direct airport bus will stop 150meters away from this hotel. Smooth check in, with a security refundable deposit of 500yuan ( expensive ). Accomodation was fully equipped, Though room floor was designated non smoking, we had to almost daily at times, open the casement window momentarily,to let out faint ciggie smells from the centralised aircon. Wifi signal is stronger at lobby than in room. Being a business hotel, seminars,are held daily. KTV joint at 3rd floor, so expect many local patrons. Security personnels stationed at lobby and lift area. Reception does not have tourist maps available. Buffet breakfast at 55yuan, spread was reasonable. Plus factor :Shilihe Metro station at 300 meters from your right as you exit the hotel. Around that corner, abundance of eateries, on your left, and a 3 level supermarket,on your right, 5mins down the road.

“Not a 5 star as we know it”

Reception was very nice although very few of the staff speak English which made check in interesting. The restaurant had a good selection of food with cereal, fruit and yoghurt as well as extensive Chinese dishes. The restaurant had a good selection of food with cereal, fruit and yoghurt as well as extensive Chinese dishes. But the rooms were a little tired - my bathroom door couldn’t shut and the smoke smell was strong, they had trouble with the lights too.

On arrival at this hotel we (wife & I) thought this is something special, the reception area was so bright and so well decorated and with the reception staff and porters so helpful. Then we got to the room, the carpet could have down with a clean and a splash of paint to cover drink spillage on the walls would have helped. The bathroom was a good size however could have done with a bit of TLC. The room was cleaned and beds made up with fresh towels daily. The staff in the restaurant were helpful and the food was very good and at a reasonable price. Overall this is a pleasant place to stay but could do with the rooms to be looked after a bit more.
