The hotel was super clean and nicely laid out. Room itself is large with a decent shower room. Bed was firm so good for your back, plenty of cupboards and wardrobes to store your clothes and shoes, tv channels were all Chinese but I wasn’t there to watch tv, and there are lots of small shops and restaurants nearby. They do a simple breakfast but you’re better off eating outside as there’s eggy pancakes amongst many other things that are simply delicious! You have free bottled water in your room and a kettle with a cup to make your own hot drinks. Free coffee is also available downstairs near the reception area, as well as a couple of vending machines that you can buy snacks and drinks from. WiFi is best when in the hotel lobby area or anywhere downstairs. The staff at the hotel are amazing, especially Fan Jia Jia. She was super helpful giving me maps, written instructions for use with shops/restaurants, and also advice on what to do, where to go etc. Fan made my stay at the hotel and in China even better! She is ever so beautiful, classy and humble! Hope I get to visit again! Tiananmen Square etc are all walking distance, but remember to book your place before going! I did the Great Wall tour (both parts) with the cable car ride return for one half, and the other side having a ropeway ride (open cable car) going up, then the same back down after or a toboggan ride down! The hotel was easy to get if you pre plan your route, as google and other apps etc don’t work out there sadly. I got the express train (25 yuan, cash only from the machines) from the airport to Dongzhimen, then you go outside and back inside in the subway by the same name next to it. I bought a subway ticket from Dongzhimen to National Art Gallery (or Zhongguo Meishuguan as they call it officially, which cost a further 4 yuan) then outside the exit for the Art Museum itself, turn right and go all the way down until it forks at a split and you’ll see City Hotel on your right. Walk right into Shatan Houjie or Shatan Rd, and go past that hotel then take the first left and walk down. You’ll find King Parkview Hotel down a small alleyway on the right, just after the little convenience shop and before the book shop. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, it’s priced nicely and easy to get to from the airport, with amazing staff. If you’re blessed to see Fan, she’ll make sure you don’t get lost, and I know you will enjoy yourself tremendously!

This hotel is clean, safe and really well located. We got a transfer from the airport so didn't have a problem finding the hotel but I can see that as it is tucked back from the main street that could be an issue. Our room was on the ground floor. Two single beds ( standard for the trip!), tv, view of car park and an adequate bathroom - but you are not here to spend time in your room! There is small store just next to the hotel, great for snacks, breakfast, cool drink, beer and pot noodles. You have a fridge and kettle so all needs covered! Across the street is another hotel with a bar. They do coffee from a barista style machine in the morning, not cheap and requires a bit of pointing but an unexpected pleasure. The bar shuts quite early but they don't seem to mind you sitting out front. Great spot for people watching! There are a couple of local restaurants on this street and a more touristy one at one end. Great location for walking to key tourist points plus buses and metro in easy reach too. In my opinion good city hotel, presumably good value.

“Nice location”
The service is average, the major downfall is the fact that all the staff members can speak english. The location is good, many atractions are located nearby and there are small restaurants. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The lobby decoration is good.
