We traveled from the US and Kerry Hotel Beijing was our first stop on our trip. We traveled with a few other friends and could not have asked for a better first experience! The hotel was super helpful in setting up airport transportation; they had a greeter meet us at the gate and walk us through customs. We did not realize we had arranged to that detail and it was a welcomed surprise after 30 hours of travel! Once there, the hotel recognized it was my birthday on check-in day and sent up a surprise chocolate cake, which was a great touch. The beds were so comfortable, bathroom was a perfect size and had high end amenities. The breakfast in the morning was great and concierge was super helpful! 10/10 recommend

I stayed here for a couple of nights for a major event at the Irish Embassy. By chance, the hotel's "Kerry" brand name added to the Ireland-on-tour feel, but it is actually part of the Shangri-La chain. The hotel oozes luxury. The rooms are huge and well appointed, with fantastic facilities. There is even a TV built into the bathroom mirror to catch up on the news as you shave in the morning. The Great Firewall of China will constrain your English-medium viewing to CNN, unfortunately. Pretty much everything from the BBC to Google is blocked these days, including the VPNs I have access to. Download some movies to your laptop before travelling if you are planning any evenings in - I didn't, as I was out both nights with colleagues enjoying the fantastic Beijing cuisine. As I had a very tight schedule with meetings starting a couple of hours after landing at Beijing Capital International Airport, I ordered an airport transfer from the Kerry Hotel. Amazingly, an official welcomed me at the top of the air bridge on arrival, spirited me through immigration and customs and loaded me into a limousine within 20 minutes. The same happened in reserve on departure - an official opened the hotel limousine car door as we pulled up to departures and escorted me through security and immigration to the Cathay Pacific lounge. Very cool, I felt like a VIP! A final nice touch. I left a used notebook by the trash bin when I left, as I was trying to travel light. The lovely staff at the Kerry Hotel emailed me when I reached my next destination to alert me to my "mistake" and ask me if I wanted them to keep the notebook until my next visit.

Spend 5 nights at Kerry in Apr 2024 and it was a pleasant experience. The rooms were neat and clean. We arrived early morning past midnight and check-in was hassle free.. Breakfast was good and had Chinese and International options. Had tried lunch and dinner too in the same restaurant and was impressive with some very good options in Chinese. Service was good. Courteous staff... there was a language barrier with the staff even though there were people who could manage English, but that is everywhere in China, so didn't find as a major problem. Overall was a pretty good experience.
