If you want an osasis in Beijing, it s the perfect place to go. At first I cannot imagine to find a hotel like that in Beijing, to access there, the owner came to pick up us, you need to walk a little bit in some typical Chinese streets, and you are like, what am I doing here????? Then you enter to the hotel and it s just wow, you cannot expect from outside how is this hotel, all exceeded our expectations. The staff is amazing and so friendly too, always available to help us, to book tickets for us, to give us good addresses to go and visit, and they speak a very good English. Restaurant is nice too, and very good breakfast. Our room was great, clean with a nice bathroom, we were on the first floor with view of the courtyard. We should stay 3 nights but we have hadded one more, this hotel is really like at home with great people taking care of you. Thank you very much Iris and Lu, if we go back to Beijing we will visit you again.

This hotel absolutely exceeded my expectations in every way. If you want to experience 5-star standards in terms of service, elegance and hospitality you will not be disappointed with this charming boutique hotel in the heart of Beijing. The attention to detail is something that sets this hotel apart from others. The staff really go out of their way to personalize your stay and to do everything they can to accommodate you without making you feel overwhelmed. For example, I received a handwritten welcome note with a fruit basket just a few hours after checking in. The dinner was also incredible and the menu was very unique with a wide range of Chinese food from many regions of China. It is also very easy to find, just about 200 metres from the main road, where the taxi would drop you off. The location is perfect for exploring some of Beijing's most touristic attractions. The beautiful Jingshan park is across the street from the hotel, the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square are a couple of kilometres away, the Drum and Bell towers and the lovely Houhai Park are also approximately 2 km from the hotel. Also, located in the hutong area within walking distance is the world-famous TRB restaurant, if you really want to indulge! This is probably the best kept secret in Beijing.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days and had a fantastic stay. Because it is in the Hutongs you have to walk the last 3 minutes to the hotel. We stayed in this hotel for 3 days and had a fantastic stay. Because it is in the Hutongs you have to walk the last 3 minutes to the hotel. I genuinely cannot imagine there was anywhere in central Beijing that I would of enjoyed staying in more. The location is excellent for getting about yourself on foot, The photos really dont do this place justice, it is more like a very beautifully designed courtyard Hutong. There are beautiful pieces of stone work around and plays tranquil Chinese music in the open space. The rooms were a perfect mix of modern facilities and chinese nostalgia. I am sure it's far from a high price range hotel for central Beijing but it has the mix perfectly for us. It's no wonder it won best boutique hotel 2019. Our 10 and 13 year old enjoyed having the space of the open courtyard around our rooms. In the evening the trees were covered in fairy lights and sparked like a mini magical kingdom. Dont be put off staying here when it is cold because of the layout. The staff make sure your rooms and shared spaces are very cozy. Many thanks for having us. I would stay nowhere else if we visited again.

And the courtyard may be very pleasant outside Summer school holidays but if you value your peace and quiet you would be advised to avoid any courtyard hotel less it be taken over by families and their children, children that have rested for 2-3 hour… more

The room, facilities and staff were first class. And the courtyard may be very pleasant outside Summer school holidays but if you value your peace and quiet you would be advised to avoid any courtyard hotel less it be taken over by families and their children, children that have rested for 2-3 hours in the middle of the day and will be wide awake and loudly playing outside your room until at least 10pm. Such a shame because it is a charming hotel with much to recommend it.
