“Above Average Stay at Reasonable Price”

I selected this hotel due to its reasonable price and decent location. The metro is a short walk from the hotel. The biggest issue was the very week internet connection which I needed for work. Depending on where you are located, it can be better or worse. The hotel itself is an older hotel. That said, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. One feature in my room that I liked was it has a shower and a large, separate bathtub. As advertised, there is a spa connected with the hotel and I used it two times. There is no charge if you are a hotel guest. I used room service twice and they were fast and efficient. The restaurant had a good selection of food at a reasonable price.

We stayed here to just get into central Beijing for something different and were pleased to find the hot springs. We booked and arrived. The check in was slightly long, but mostly because we don't speak much Mandarin - so you really can't fault the hotel for that. Once we got to our room, we found a spacious, though dated room with comfortable beds of a good size. We also found the world's last CRT TV! We used the hot springs and that, alone, is a reason to book here. They were amazing - so unique in a bustling metropolis. We also ate in the restaurant and found the food adequate, but lovely friendly service. Our room had a number of minor issues that didn't affect the overall stay, but are something the hotel should look into such as a gap between the top of the door and the ceiling that let light and noise in (luckily, it wasn't noisy). The door to the automatically lit wardrobe didn't shut properly, so the light came through a little crack in the door. The bathroom needed a good clean around the edges where a build-up of the sediments led to limescale (probably because of the mineral water that is pumped in for the hot water) and the carpet was wet in one place which was discovered whilst wearing socks. We read the reviews before we came here and weren't expecting it to be anything but what it was. We still enjoyed it and would recommend. It'd be great if the hotel could do a refurb though, because it has SO much potential!
