“Great hotel but problematic breakfast staff”

I resumed business travel to the area after the pandemic, and enjoyed my stay here. The hotel has gotten a renovation since my previous visits just before the pandemic. The room is ultra modern and has the new blue/orange design theme. Everything is super practical. Plenty of power points everywhere, including both USB-A and USB-C ports that put out high current. The room now include Xiaomi's smart speaker and you can use it to control just about everything in the room. Hard products at the hotel are awesome. However, much like my previous experiences, the breakfast service is still the weakness. While the food is OK, the staff has serious issues. I went to get some coffee after placing a plate of food on the table, but only to return 30 seconds later with the table cleaned and food thrown out. The issue keeps repeating itself over and over again with staff constantly throwing out uneaten new plate of food or beverages. I am stunned at the amount food waste from these insane amount of premature but mindless table cleaning. So much so, I literally had to tell the staff in Chinese with a stern voice, to not throw out the food I just gotten. The staff is insanely overzealous with the table cleaning, and deserve to be reprimanded for causing unnecessary food waste.

I booked this hotel as I have had good stays in North America. The bed was comfortable, the shower with all amenities was strong with lots of hot water. The room was clean and it had HBO and FOX Action movies. The buffet breakfast was included and had way more options than the hotels in Canada. The price was $80 cdn per night.

Location is very convenient, near enough to everything we possibly needed. Room was clean seems quite new renovated, quite simple and minimalistic, bed was super soft and comfortable. Great that breakfast was included, at least once a day no need to think what to eat in the foreign country, it was simple too, but healthy, fresh, had western style food too. I would say the best that this hotel has is the staff, always smiling, friendly, polite and ready to help. We will definitely stay again! Wish only next time our room will be located not that far away from the elevator.

“I was there for 3 nights during a business trip”
Rooms are very clean and comfortable, small rooms have the window on an internal court that in Winter time may be fine, but in Summer may be very hot. Only bigger room have the minibar. The breakfast buffet is good and has a wide choice of food.
