The subway station is not too far but not close either, about 15 minutes walk. And there is not a lot good restaurants options around either. It’s just easy for businesses with embassies. The room is comfortable and the view is nice. The bathroom is big and clean with necessary bathing supplies provided.

“Solid 4 stars”
I booked my room on hotels.com for about $100. Good thing I did because the at counter asking price for the same room was about $550! “My standard hotel in Beijing”
I always stay in this hotel while in Beijing. Nicely located, good quality, nice breakfast (and on walking distance to our office). Somethimes the keys do not work, but you always get help to sort this small problem out.

“Okay hotel”
Good hotel nothing special about it. Location was very nice and close to the Beijing old airport. Rooms were good and large in size but with old furniture and should be renovated. Breakfast was good with large selection. Staff were nice but many of them didn’t speak English.

I'm sure Chinese-speaking guests have a different view but an honest opinion from a Scandinavian non-Chinese speaking family of 5: Over the 5 days we stayed at this hotel we encountered two people that spoke a few words of English which, when asking for help in the lobby, didn't help at all. Restaurant down stairs, Rain Café, had in our opinion inedible food so for both information and meals (except for breakfast) we went across the street to the Marriott hotel were the staff was English speaking and wonderfully helpful. The only reason we stayed at the Concordia is because it was booked by our Traveling Agency. I'm sure the staff here wanted to help but due to their lack of English they panicked and ran away from us. We're guessing this is a popular hotel for Chinese as we didn't see one non-Asian person in this hotel for these 5 days! Rooms are fine, hiccups here and there (missing toiletries, stained towels, broken chair and wallpaper coming off with mold visible & when we asked for an extra bed we got a bed without sheets and when asked for sheets staff panicked and ran away due to the fact that they didn't understand). All the floors also smell like cigarettes which may be because of the old carpet - I'm sure they could improve the air here by replacing the carpet. They claim to have Wifi when it barely works, both in lobby and in the room. Along our month-long trip we stayed at HomeStays with much better Wifi. The "spa" and gym have seen better days - no mats to do floor exercises - just a cigarette-smelling carpet which soaks up all the moisture. Limited equipment but it was fine. Make sure, if you want to go swimming, you bring a swim-cap as swimming without one is not allowed and a Chinese life-guard will yell at you haha. Other than that this was a better roof over our heads than mosquito-filled HomeStays in the middle of the Cambodian forrest. :)
