This is an authentic style small hotel on one of the many hutong streets in the Qiamen section. A giant Buddha, red lanterns, couches and plants in an indoor courtyard all greet you. The rooms are small, but have a kettle to boil water (or make instant coffee) and plastic slippers for the shower are provided. The Chinese style buffet breakfast changed daily, but always consisted of four hot dishes (rice, egg and tomato, vegetables, breads), side dishes of nuts, vegetables and two or three hot soups. It certainly filled us up for the day. The location was perfect, in a narrow hutong alleyway off the bustling and amazing Qianmen pedestrian street. Tiananmen Square is a 15 or so minute walk away, as is two metro stops on line 2 and line 7. The only problem was they charged us an additional 11% tax over our Booking.com fully paid reservation, and they charged it in US dollars. Not nice!

“Great Location”

First of all I would like to mention that the Hotel located in one of the central area. Very close to Qianmen Street, where you find many shops and restaurants. 10 minutes walk to Qianmen Metro Station and very easy to find just use offline map. The Forbidden City is in walking distance 25 mintues… more

First of all I would like to mention that the Hotel located in one of the central area. Very close to Qianmen Street, where you find many shops and restaurants. 10 minutes walk to Qianmen Metro Station and very easy to find just use offline map. The Forbidden City is in walking distance 25 mintues from the Hotel. We spent 3 nights here and the Staff from the Reception has a basic English but they very helpful. The hotel provide WIFI at the Lobby and the hotel room as well but unfortunately in 3 days we cannot connect at all, so we did not have internet connecion for that time. When you booking a room, do not book a standard room because it is very tiny. Try a higher option. The Standard hotel room is very basic, do not expect to much. When you arrive in Capital Airport and if you choose Airport Express Link train you have direct connection from Dongzhimen station with line 2 to Qianmen Metro Station. In overall is in great location to discover Beijing.
