“holiday”
The hotel was satisfying to stay our entire 4 days, exploring the city's accent buildings and imperial palaces. We walked the world famous Great Wall of China. They say after you've come to the wall you have become a hero. It seems true to me!

“no aircon”
room basically alright but no aircon even need to bring fan inside the room..location good nearby got walking street and many shopping and restaurants. hotel food ban be better and service also can improve a bit . overall is a good old hotel .

“Average hotel but GREAT AC!”
I was there the first week of September with a tour group. The hotel is dated and needs a fresh face, but overall it was ok. The rooms were spacious and clean. The AC was GREAT!! I was there the first week of September with a tour group. The hotel is dated and needs a fresh face, but overall it was ok. The rooms were spacious and clean. The AC was GREAT!! Since we were on a tour we had early mornings, so we had to get breakfast as soon as the buffet was open. The only problem was they might have been open, but NOT all of the food was out yet. They told us it was a local hotel and you could tell. Not many people on their staff spoke English. It was very close to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. A great location for a tour group.

“A great hotel that is getting tired and needs attention.”
A great location with conference facilities to match. I was there for a global conference. The grand lobby impressed me but stepping out of the elevator after checking in told a different tale. The carpets were tired and nearing end of useful life. It could of course do with a very good shampooing.… more
A great location with conference facilities to match. I was there for a global conference. The grand lobby impressed me but stepping out of the elevator after checking in told a different tale. The carpets were tired and nearing end of useful life. It could of course do with a very good shampooing. The rooms are the same story. It would be ok in a 3 Star hotel but not here. The room service, the standard housekeeping was below expectations. The breakfast cafe was, good and had a buffet with lots to choose from. Check in and check out staff were not very welcoming and stand offish. However, one lady at the reception, the one who booked my car back to the airport stood out in being helpful and warm. Thanks to her. Very few of the staff at the hotel (who interacted with guests) which I suppose has a fair share of international travellers, particularly with its conference facilities, could understand or speak English. This didn’t help. Overall an “Average” .
