We had a wonderful stay at the Worldmark Cascades Lodge. The location is perfect, right across the street from the Village. There is complimentary, secured underground parking and there were plenty of spaces. We went in off, or 'shoulder' season, so the crowds were minimal Thurs, Friday and busy Saturday and Sunday night. We got in the jacuzzi's two or three times during our stay, perfect to warm us up after the 50 degree days. Our 1 bedroom was very small, there wasn't a dresser to unpack our clothes into, but the closet had some shelves and we hung our clothing. The suite we stayed in was on the ground floor near the pool and even with that, it was quiet, which was nice. We did not utilize the gym though there is one. The staff working the counter were very nice and there was a super easy check in and out. We'll stay again if in the area!

“Great location to village and great pool”

5 star staff, friendly and welcoming , 5 star location to village. Great pool and hot tubs. We had a one bedroom unit, kitchen is well equipped. Secure underground parking and bike storage Cons: Beds are not overly comfortable and the shower has very low pressure

“Anniversary trip”

The porte cochere was jammed when we arrived so we had to make a couple of circuits of the block to find a place to park and check in. The porte cochere was jammed when we arrived so we had to make a couple of circuits of the block to find a place to park and check in. We paid for this stay with our timeshare points so the price was right! We were assigned to room 631 -- top floor with a view of the mountains. The only downside of the room is that it has the elevator shaft running through it so there was elevator mechanical noise pretty much all the time. Otherwise the room was spacious and bright. A nice suite with separate living/kitchen and bedroom spaces. The staff were very friendly and helpful, several from New Zeland and England -- loved talking to them just to hear their accents. The last time we were in Whistler was also an anniversary trip 18 years previously and lots of stuff had changed.

“Beware of construction!”

We booked a four night getaway for some much needed R and R. We were not notified upon booking or check in that the unit above us was undergoing renovations. When we called down to inquire and express concern we were met only with a response that they were not to work past 4:00 pm., and to call the front desk if the contractors ignored that rule. We had to call every day! We then were told our final day, Saturday, would be free from renovation noise. It was not. When I called to inquire, I was told I had been given misinformation the day before. At no point was there an offer to remedy the situation. On our final day there was a putrid smell that was like rotten eggs. Thinking it may be a gas leak, we called the front desk to be told they would inquire. My husband had already done his own investigation and found another guest who had called in a plumber to deal with sewage back up next door. It took an hour for the front desk to get back to us to assure us that it was “just a sewage issue”. The lack of urgency regarding a potential gas leak was shocking. I also called down to request extra toilet paper, which never did arrive. I had to ask again when we received the call back regarding the sewage issue. We felt we had to avoid our room during the day due to construction. Not the relaxing getaway we were needing. The room and building are quite “tired”. Our furniture was very worn. The building showed signs of water leakage, etc. This would certainly indicate that renovations are needed, but guests should be better informed. We would not have chosen to stay there had we known. Location was great, but overall a disappointing experience.
