Staying 2 nights in a 1 bedroom suite at the VR Hotel with inner harbour waterfront view was a lovely experience. The VR Hotel staff were very welcoming and courteous, at all times throughout our stay and always greeted us warmly when passing thru the lobby. The suite was extremely nice, modern, clean, very spacious, and boasted a beautiful view of Victoria's inner harbour looking across at the Legislature Buildings illuminated at night, passenger ferries and harbour planes transited the harbour. The suite had numerous amenities which were great, with upscale window/door treatments to enjoy the balcony and waterfront view. The suite had plenty of liiving room sitting arrangements, large flat screen televisions (1 in the bedroom), dining table area, fully equiped kitchen, more than ample closets, and spacious queen bedroom. The location is so central and convenient to all that the downtown core has to offer, whether it be restaurants, shopping, or tourism, that we just parked our vehicle in the secure unground parking and walked everywhere. There are plenty of nice restaurants and bistro's within walking distance, as well as, some of the tourist attractions are also near by such as the Royal BC Museum with Imax Theatre... and especially the inner harbour walkway. We are locals, just outside of Victoria, but the inner harbour never gets old, and thus a 2 night stay at the VR is the perfect little get-away to relax and soak in the atmosphere. We almost felt guilty not spending more time in the suite though, to enjoy the balcony view. Will and Tam
