I was in Vancouver for a work conference and stayed at the Coast Coal Harbour, The staff was very friendly and helpful, including a late checkout for a late afternoon flight. The room was spotless and my view from the 15th floor was spectacular. The location made it an easy walk not only to the convention centre, but to many shops, restaurants, and bars in the downtown area.

[Verse 1] Hotel Coal and restaurant, Prestons cant complain Lobby small but way blessed theres a check in express lane Most every guest goes by according to design I give this clean hotel it gleamed front desk staff they were kind [Chorus] From the bottom of Burrard Street the Coast of the Coal Harba After one or two more blocks, I pull up on uber ride this hotel is right downtown, waterfront and more youll find here the best way to get around, is walking exercise all the sights not far apart [Verse 2] You can see the view sure, after elevator fast It's not that far to see Stanley Park and boat masts I come a long way my stay will only be for one night I hear, the Isles, I fear, one mile, I want to walk it right [Chorus] From the bottom of this start from the coast to the arena After one or two pit stops, at Tim Hortons mid way stride And the walk it took me down, the Dunsmuir street a climb but Im glad stay was close around, Canucks game is close by things to do before depart [Verse 3] Your stay has things to spend the time before you go to bed Living large website has deals, you can watch the stars or head to rooftop pool and hot tub too, both small capacity few or work out, the gym and for the win, Japanese Spa floor two [Chorus] rooms were smaller, a-la-carte in the bathroom you will find a feature one that sets apart, to relieve for your backside a bidet that won't let down, heck, you can try then rate like im Or find some stay that cant be found, this feature you cant find at just any inn apart [Refrain] from the coast hotel, take part!

“Awesome downtown location and great staff, but thin walls allow for hallway acoustics.”

We came to Vancouver for the Christmas Market and picked this hotel for the close downtown location. It worked out perfectly for that reason. We came to Vancouver for the Christmas Market and picked this hotel for the close downtown location. It worked out perfectly for that reason. However, we booked a room on an upper level floor and found that we could hear EVERYTHING in the hallway outside our door clearly. Other than that, the staff is very helpful and provided expert advice on local dining options. The hotel is close to the water and local shopping, all within walking distance. The cost was comparable to downtown locations in various US locations, however parking may be steep for some. The hotel is over $40 Canadian for valet parking and the garage close by is about $37 Canadian for 24hrs. The airport is about 40 minutes away during high traffic, but much shorter times for off peak hours. A recommended location.

“First impressions in customer service do matter”

I was at the hotel to present and attend a national conference. I was in room 1012. I checked in on Nov 20th at 8.30 pm as my flight from Toronto was delayed then cancelled by Air Canada and a 5 hour flight became a 15 hours flight. Tired and fatigued. I was at the hotel to present and attend a national conference. I was in room 1012. I checked in on Nov 20th at 8.30 pm as my flight from Toronto was delayed then cancelled by Air Canada and a 5 hour flight became a 15 hours flight. Tired and fatigued. Eventually checked in, and the room was large, cosy, typically amenities. However the room faces another office building right across-so you cannot open the curtains to let in sunshine or walk around semi clothes. I would Not recommend thsi room . Ordered some room service-breakfast and dinner another night. Food was good. The hotel strives to be environmentally good practices. Also has a pool and gym. My check out date was on 22nd. The hotel was sold out for the conference. I went to the front to ask if i could have a extension of check out time -either 30 mins or longer. I could have some lunch, change clothes, attend a couple of conference session and then go to the airport as i had 4 hours to waste away. I also said, i checked in at 8.30 pm. Without battering an eyelash, the staff said, "No, late check out." In my 30 years of travel, stays at Hilton, Marriot, I have never encountered such abrupt responses. As the hotel was already filed with conference delegates, it is highly unlikely new guests would be arriving asap. As this is my first stay at this hotel -it will also be my last and neither will i recommend it to anyone. First impressions do matter.
