“Nice place to stay”

This place was very pleasant apart from a hot room which was hard to cool down. The bed was nice as was the room n the shower. The staff were friendly. We had breakfast next door. The place was part of the tour that we were on.

We love the cozy warm feel of hearthstone. We have stayed at 2 other hotels in sun peaks and much prefer this. We returned for a second year. Unfortunately our first night also coincided with the plumbing lack of hot water problem that others have referred too. We received an email and phone call the next day and credit for the night. The issue was all fixed the next day. I was impressed by bear company’s positive response. We will be back next year.

“Not bad but could be improved.”

The lodge is situated in the middle of the Village. The location is convenient to shops, restaurants, and ski lifts. Check-in was pleasant and welcoming. The lodge is situated in the middle of the Village. The location is convenient to shops, restaurants, and ski lifts. Check-in was pleasant and welcoming. We were able to store our luggage as we arrived early, and our room was not ready. We were booked into room 405 through Bear County. The photographs on the website are accurate. There is a small kitchen with basic cooking utensils which like most lodges are cheap but adequate. The bed did not have a mattress protector on it which we found not to be hygienic. The sheets were also ill fitting and constantly popped off the corner of the mattress. The bedding needs attention as it is hard to relax when you do not have confidence in the cleanliness of the bedding. Other than that, the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The ski/snowboard locker room is inadequate. It consists of ski and snowboard lockable racks, but room is tight and crowded. There is more chance of winning the lottery than finding a spare rack for your snowboard. Skiers would have more luck. This lodge has potential but the at the price of around $CA300 per night including taxes and charges, for what it is, there are better valued accommodation options available.
