Recently stayed here, having stayed before few months ago. This time around I got a newly refurbished room which was lovely. There seems to be an issue with the water in that room: The water pressure in the shower was all over the place, one moment it would be weak and next it would blast out. In addition, the room didn't have cold water in the sink, only scolding hot. My only concern as a solo guest, was being placed at the end of a hall in a building away from reception. Being an experienced traveler, solo travelers should not be placed far away from other people, for security should anything happen. My room was facing the train tracks, therefore I didn't get much of sleep and someone was knocking on peoples doors around 5.00am which left me a little unsettled.

This is billed as a luxury casino resort. We stayed here because it’s close to family and is on the Skytrain line. But it is far from luxury. We stayed in a 1 BR suite, which was spacious and clean. Online the price was listed as $800+CN/night; we paid $500+CN because I found a discount. It’s basically a Holiday Inn type suite without the conveniences. The good: It’s on the skytrain line It’s a short drive/ride to shopping and restaurants. Richmond is a heavily Asian district so there’s lots of good Asian food available The bed was comfortable; the pillows are HUGE and overstuffed so bring your own pillow unless you enjoy neck pain There’s room on the bathroom counters and vanity for all of your stuff, and a makeup mirror if you use it. The shower is large and water pressure is good. Parking is included Front desk staff are efficient and professional. The marina view from the room is nice. The not-so-good: It’s pricey for what it is Parking is on the opposite side of the property, so you have quite a hike if you need something from your vehicle Food options on site are limited. The buffet is only open on weekends. There is a Starbucks on site Nothing is soundproof. We heard every door closing, every footstep, every cough and I’m sure our neighbors heard us too The small spa is located right off the lobby. See “not soundproof”, above. If you bring your own shampoo, there is no place for it in the shower. No shelf, no niche, nothing. My stuff is on the shower floor. There is one towel bar, no other hooks or places to hang towels/swimsuits Every single time you enter the casino you must show your ID. You’d think they’d issue a wristband or have you in a guest database or something. It’s inconvenient at best. Short version, it’s not really an experience that matches the price point, and not a place I’d stay again.
