Pillar and Post's original structure was built in the late 1890s as a canning factory, and since has been lovingly transformed into a fine Niagara on the Lake hotel. You can still see its original purpose in the clean lines of the brick walls and in the impressive post-and-beam construction. Cannery?s old-country charm is enhanced by exposed wooden beams, cozy fireside dining and an open-hearth oven. Cannery Restaurant has a relaxed, informal atmosphere in which to showcase Chef Therese DeGrace's menu of 'comfort food with a twist'. Chef DeGrace embodies the next generation of cuisine and has been featured on Breakfast Television, Canada AM and is on the panel of guest chefs on President's Choice Blue Menu.

“Always a wonderful time”
We have been coming to Pillar and Post for a few years now and have always enjoyed our stay. It used to be a lot less busy, which we miss, but it's good to see them getting more business. We treated ourselves to a stay around Christmas and loved everything. The room we booked smelled like marijuann… more

“Vintage Hotel Christmas 2 day weekend anniversary getaway”

“Disappointing”
The initial appearance of the hotel is beautiful. It was decorated for Christmas and very pretty. The staff were friendly and check in went smoothly.
