The Good: Well located to the Falls, other attractions and restaurants. Clean, updated rooms. Breakfast is decent enough and kept stocked. The gym is acceptable with 2 benches, a rack of 5-50 lb dumb bells, a few other weights and several pieces of cardio equipment. The Bad: Parking is extra and not insignificant. Rooms are smaller for a Marriott, but it is a converted Travel Lodge. The Ugly: If you're staying on a Friday or Saturday night and your room faces West, you will hear the music from Club 7.

“Central, clean, good home base for weekend trip”

We were three friends on a trip to the area and we enjoyed our time at the Fairfield for four nights. Central location, close to Clifton Hill attractions and about a 15-minute easy walk to Fallsview Casino, Skylon Tower, and Murray St. which leads to views of the falls. Room was dark and felt cramped and the bathroom area was definitely small for three adults (2 queen bed room) but worked for what we needed. The rooms looked newly renovated but still had a few dings. The AC was good as we like it cooler in the room but was noisy. There was a large crack in our bathroom sink, the toilet paper holder was loose and moved every time you used it, the alarm clock didn't have a display on it, and I think our room was missing a chair (we saw into another room where there was a chair by the window). Windows are only in the corner of the room. Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. We barely heard any noise unless it was in the hallway just outside our door. Elevators were efficient and we never waited long for one. Hot breakfast options changed daily and included eggs, sausage, waffles, and french toast (or some variation) along with muffins, cereal, coffee, juices, oatmeal, and yogurt. Plenty of seating but it did get busy between 7:45am-8:30am. The staff kept everything well stocked and tables were always clean and ready for the next person. Plenty of food options nearby or within 5-10 minutes of walking and area felt safe. As three women we never felt unsafe walking around even into the evening. Parking was just behind hotel in a large lot for $25 CAD + taxes. This was a good home base for our time in Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and surrounding areas. Price was decent when I booked a couple months back but did notice the prices increased as I checked randomly to see if any prices changed. Friday and Saturday nights seemed to be the higher priced nights of all.

“No frills with hot breakfast”

No frills hotel that provided a quiet nicely appointed room. The complimentary breakfast was “meh” with paper plates but certainly cheaper than alternative of choosing one of the many over priced restaurants near by. No frills hotel that provided a quiet nicely appointed room. Location is great, walkable to Clifton hill, falls and casinos. Check out time is 11am. Overall not bad! The staff service was friendly and welcoming. Parking runs 25$ night

Overall the hotel is comfortable and cozy. The room we were in was really small and dark. It did have a Keurig machine, micro fridge and microwave. We were able to check in early which was nice. Overall the hotel is comfortable and cozy. The room we were in was really small and dark. It did have a Keurig machine, micro fridge and microwave. We were able to check in early which was nice. I did inquire about the cost of upgrading to a room with a sleep sofa as those are typically bigger rooms and would have provided us a place to sit. But the girl at the front desk said all the rooms are the same size and the sleep sofa room wouldn't make a difference. There is no way the sleep sofa room isn't larger than the room we had, as our room barely fit a chair. We were already paying a price gouging price of $600/night because they gouged for those trying to see the eclipse so an extra cost to have some extra room wouldn't have mattered at that point. The room was way over priced for what it was!!! We went online to just see what the prices were and the room with 2 queens and a sofa was going for less than I had paid! So we knew the bigger room was available and it was less $$! Knew we should have canceled the room we had while we had the chance a couple days before and re-booked. Otherwise the staff we encountered were very pleasant. The hotel was walking distance to all the touristy attractions of Clifton Hill and did have a small pool that our daughter enjoyed. The breakfast was typically hotel breakfast but adequate and nice that it was available each morning. Parking is an additional $25/night, the lot was secure from other cars getting in, but not from random people walking in. It is across the street, but its really not a big issue. Overall our stay was fine, just way over priced, and if in the area again, I may look at some of the other hotels in the area.
