This is a nice hotel in a great location. Rooms are large but cozy, very quiet, with big windows and nice views (note that the windows don’t open). The beds and pillows are very comfortable, nice big bathrooms with a walk in shower. The service is friendly and polite. One big negative to flag is the coffee situation. The coffee provided in the room is simply foul - some disgusting no name brand to be used in single brew drip machine - and they only provide packets of powdered hydrogenated palm oil instead of cream or milk. There is also no coffee available in the lobby of the hotel. I don’t understand why a hotel as nice as the Westin would risk its reputation by cheaping out on coffee. This leaves such a negative taste in my mouth but is easily remedied.

Stayed for 5 nights in a one bedroom suite. We were a family of 4 staying for a conference at the convention centre across the street. The location is convenient for proximity to the convention centre and for walking to Old Montreal. The suite states it can accommodate 6 people, but I cannot imagine staying in the space with 6 adults. The bathroom was very cramped for 2 adults and 2 children where the children don’t have many toiletries. The vanity would benefit from a shelf under the cabinet and there’s plenty of space for one. The door opens towards the shower, which is problematic as it won’t open much if you have a bath mat on the floor. The suite was showing its age with wear and tear. The bathroom shower was in desperate need of maintenance. There was some mold and lots of rust in the corner. I’m glad I wear glasses so I can’t see clearly when I shower. It’s been awhile since I stayed at a Westin and I remember them being a little more upscale. The beds were the same though and I’m glad the “heavenly” bed can be relied upon. The suite was very quiet and had a lovely view. While the accommodations are just ok, the staff are quite excellent. All the staff I interacted with (front desk, phone operator, housekeeping and restaurant) were very polite and quick to accommodate. I had a couple of housekeeping requests and they were met promptly with a smile. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet daily and the pool as well. The pool facilities are well appointed and include a cold plunge, which is the first I’ve seen at a hotel. Overall, the stay was good but I think it was quite expensive for what we got. The conference rates weren’t very good and I ended booking a regular room rate as there were more options and not much difference in price compared to the conference rates.

The hotel is very central, large and has valet parking. At times valet parking and the availibility of staff was lacking. Seems very much a hotel for conference attendees. Pros: good view of the city, good size room, quiet, clean. AC/ heat very quiet. Cons: Memory foam mattress was not comfortable, although bedding was luxurious. The elevators were at times not functioning for 10 mins or more. It's averagely good but not amazing
