Before I took this trip to Montreal, I researched many hotels in the Old Montreal area and from the pics and reviews- this one stood out then all the rest. I loved how the hotel kept its a mix of old Montreal charm and its updated a new structure. I think it was the brick walls that really caught my attention. The staff was really friendly and let me know I was early and my room wasn’t ready yet until 4pm so, they put my luggage in storage and I decided to go wandering around town. This hotel is so centrally located. The Notre-Dame Basillica is right up the street. Place D’Arms is in front of it. The old port is one block from the hotel. From there you can take a walk along the st.lawrence river, take the Ferris wheel, or zip line. There are so many restaurants for different tastes. I finally checked in and loved the room but when I looked out the window, I saw. View of the alley way and construction. Not what I was hoping for. The desk clerk and the manager of concierge switched up my room to another more modern room as an upgrade with no extra charges. Very kind of them, I wasn’t mad that I didn’t have the nostalgic brick wall features. In the lobby waiting area, they provide different beverages and some light snack while waiting in the area. Another great feature with this hotel is the terrace on the 6th floor. It’s a rooftop bar and lounge. It’s a great vibe with good music, good food, and great drinks. The staff at the rooftop bar are very attentive and friendly. I spent 4 days at this hotel and I would definitely want to come back again. “Wonderful hotel in Old Montreal”

This is an excellent hotel in Old Montreal with spacious rooms in a wonderful location, close to both the river, restaurants, sites. The rooms are very well furnished, massive in size and also have huge bathrooms. The terrace on the roof is a great place to have breakfast or drinks in the evening.

The hotel was very clean and modern, and the location certainly can't be beat for access to Old Montreal, just a block away from Notre Dame and Pointe a Calliere at the south end of Rue St. Paul.... more

My wife and I came to explore Montreal the week prior to a national conference that I was attending. The hotel was very clean and modern, and the location certainly can't be beat for access to Old Montreal, just a block away from Notre Dame and Pointe a Calliere at the south end of Rue St. Paul. The staff were excellent throughout our stay. The hotel room was spacious and clean. My only complaint about the stay was how poor my sleep was due to the ambient noise around the hotel. Our room was on the second floor along the east side of the hotel, above an alley. The windows were not soundproof, as every noise from the alley was audible as if we were standing in the alley, from the garbage trucks backing up, the workmen starting their work at 7AM, to various restaurant staff dropping empties into a recycling bin. Both my wife and I travel with ear plugs, and they didn't help.

We stayed three nights in this hotel which is located on a busy street in old Montreal. It is very convenient but if you have a room at the front of the hotel it is noisy especially at night. When we stayed, Montreal was experiencing a heat wave - the feather comforter on the bed was ridiculous and it took some time to get a lighter blanket. The room was very large which was nice and had a very comfortable bed and pillows. Housekeeping service was excellent and water was provided. Toiletries were very nice. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on the first night - a salad arrived quickly but our steaks took 90 minutes to come as the order was lost in the kitchen. The staff apologised but this was not a good experience. Concierge gave us a good list of local cafes and restaurants and tourist attractions but did not start work until 11 am so could not answer questions before that time. Staff generally were good but our experience was mixed.
