Just loved this place here in the mountains on a stunning lake. Our room overlooking the lake was divine, so large with 2 bathrooms, lounge etc. so comfortable and quiet. Just loved this place here in the mountains on a stunning lake. Our room overlooking the lake was divine, so large with 2 bathrooms, lounge etc. so comfortable and quiet. You could stay here a week, we only had 3 days…they have bicycles and super nice hikes in the forests. Only breakfasts a bit pricey at $35. Wonderful fresh mountain air and only 5 minutes to the village. Uncompromising beauty !

“Beautiful view!”

We visited in December, and everything was covered in snow. The service was great, and the room was very spacious with incredibly cozy robes. We visited in December, and everything was covered in snow. The service was great, and the room was very spacious with incredibly cozy robes. The hotel offers a shuttle to the ski slopes, and renting ski equipment here is cheaper than in town. I loved that at 5 PM, they served hot chocolate and cookies for guests. The ski storage room had a terrible smell, which could be improved. One evening, we had dinner at the restaurant—good food, but the service was a bit slow.

The hotel recently joined the Origine Artisan group, our preferred hotel chain. So on a whim we made a reservation for a deluxe suite with a view of the lake for one night. The reviews were somewhat mixed but we were optimistic nevertheless. First impression, the hotel lobby is impressive with it’s enormous logs construction , thus the name of the hotel. It’s already decked out for Christmas, giving the lobby a very festive air. Friendly and welcoming reception staff to boot. So far so good! The first snag is the single small and elevator. Corridors are clean and free of clutter less a few chairs on the same log cabin theme. However, we were truly disappointed by the small size of the ‘deluxe suite’. You enter into a small kitchenette w table that is too large for the available space. Living room is also tiny. There is a Murphy bed hidden in a wall, and a sofa tucked on the other side. A fireplace with a small tv above completes the living area with a very small bathroom off the living room with a shower (the door almost touches the toilet bowl!). A king size bed fills up the small en suite bedroom with another tiny bathroom w a bathtub. A small soap was provided. This cramped suite is said to accommodate 6 people!!! This hotel has a peculiar arrangement. Condo owners are renting out their unit as hotel room/suite when not in use, so every room has some personal items adding some personality. The hotel built in the early 2000, but the rooms are in a dire need of a makeover 25 years later. The restaurant was closed so we ate at the Whiskey bar. Expensive and limited menu. The bill comes with an already included 15% service charge. I would recommend you take advantage of the shuttle to go to the Tremblant village for more choice. St-Jovite village is just a short drive away. Overall, the one night stay was on the expensive side, lots of taxes, including a $23/day charge for ‘frais de séjour’. We will not repeat the experience, lots of other choices available in the area. On the plus side, the view from the balcony was amazing, however the balcony railing was loose, sadly not safe.
