“Just okay for an overnight stay”

This was the second of three hotels that my wife and I stayed in whilst travelling across Canada to our final destination of Vancouver, and it was definitely the poorest of the three. We were quickly checked in and we had a huge room with two double beds, iron and ironing board, kettle and coffee maker, hair dryer, large flat screen TV, plenty of power outlets, plenty of soft towels, toiletries, fridge, microwave, good lighting and plenty of storage but only a very few coat hangers. There was however no safe and the shower was particularly underwhelming with poor pressure. The breakfast was not all that – we were part of a coach party travelling across to Vancouver to board a ship for a cruise, so we were placed in a conference room for our breakfast which we spent some time wandering around the hotel's basement trying to find. It took an age for the staff to get the breakfast out and we then helped ourselves, putting the fairly warm food onto cold plates. Now, I commented on the review for the first hotel that we stayed in that the breakfast was nothing special, but it was far superior to this offering. I’m fairly sure that I wouldn’t choose this hotel if we were ever staying in Kamloops in the future.

“An OK hotel to stop at if you are on a road trip but DONT use Revolut as your security deposit”

OK hotel to stop at for a night on a road trip, wouldn’t stay any longer. Pool and Hot Tub was a nice area and good after a day’s driving. Few restaurants nearby to eat. OK hotel to stop at for a night on a road trip, wouldn’t stay any longer. Pool and Hot Tub was a nice area and good after a day’s driving. Few restaurants nearby to eat. However, this Hotel actually takes the security deposit off your card and voids it next day instead of just placing a hold. This is probably OK on credit cards but with Revolut they don’t void the transaction until a month later. This means they take the $100 from you at the time and give it back a month later when you home and can’t spend it meaning you have to exchange it back to your home currency. In fairness this is not the hotels fault but Indidnt have this problem with other hotels on the road trip so they must have done something different. Use a normal credit card for your security deposit

“OK visit but restaurant poor.”

This hotel is generally fine apart from the restaurant food which is disappointing. I had a pad Thai which was swimming in soy sauce and I had to pay extra for vegetable s. This hotel is generally fine apart from the restaurant food which is disappointing. I had a pad Thai which was swimming in soy sauce and I had to pay extra for vegetable s. Clearly prepared by someone who knows little about Thai food. My husband had a burger which was also poor quality. The hotel room was large but needs better sound proofing from the freeway as noisy. The pool and hot tub are good.
