“Great affordable option in Canmore”

We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed it. Our room was basic but clean with everything we needed, including robes and slippers. We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed it. Our room was basic but clean with everything we needed, including robes and slippers. Bed was comfortable, shower was powerful, we also had a well-equipped kitchen area. Plenty of parking available and a good location - just a few minutes' walk to shops and restaurants in Canmore. We also used the outdoor hot tub a couple of times. We had great service from the staff on the front desk, and we were also given free bear spray for the duration of our stay. When we come back to Canmore (which we definitely will!) we'd definitely stay here again.

Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Everything was great. We felt right at home. Parking was good. Check in and out was smooth. Bed and pillows comfy. Provided with robes and slippers. Bathroom was awesome. Deep tub as well as a separate shower with multiple heads. Kitchen was well equipped. Nice deck with a bbq. Access to outside hot tub. Rooms were well serviced every day by a thoughtful crew. Only a 20 minute walk into downtown Canmore. Highly recommended.

“Falcon Crest in October”

We stayed in a studio at Falcon Crest for a week. Full kitchen was well equipped. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Underground parking was a plus in cold weather. 2-3 minute drive to town center and lots of restaurants. Close to all touristy locations.

We booked in November 2023 for a late August 2024 stay. We felt the rate was reasonable (we booked non-refundable) for the area. Originally booked the king studio and the 1 bedroom king suite for a split stay. We had to modify due to the Jasper fires and ended up in room 408, a 2 bedroom suite. This is a good choice in Canmore for condo lodging. It’s a little farther from downtown, but everything is pretty close especially if you have a car. Even without one, you can use the bus or walk. It has quick access to the main highway. Parking is at a premium everywhere, even local businesses that offer on-site parking have very limited spaces. Falcon Crest offered a few parking spaces surface level, but then the underground park is also handy, albeit with tight parking spots! It only took around 20 – 25 mins to get into Banff, and about 55 mins to the Lake Louise turn-off. The property is well maintained, clean and the rooms comfortable. Noise level was minimum from the street and I barely heard the trains (I’m a light sleeper). We found a nice note and special chocolates on the counter in our suite to recognize our 25th anniversary. This property is a good choice to consider if looking for a condo in Canmore area. I’m sure there are others that are very similar, and perhaps some that may be newer and more modern, but this worked great for us as our base camp for our Canadian Rockies trip. Service – excellent! Due to the Jasper fires, our plans changed and Libby was very helpful in getting us a room in the middle of our stay and made sure to do everything she could to ensure we didn’t have to change rooms. Initially we booked the king studio suite for first 2 nights, then after 3 nights in Jasper were coming back for final 4 nights at Falcon Crest in the 1 bedroom king suite. Libby was able to work it out that we checked in for the full 9 nights in an upgraded 2 bedroom suite. We ended up being very thankful for the extra space and 2nd bathroom, even for just the 2 of us! We are so appreciative of the upgrade, but especially that we were able to stay in the same spot for our entire trip with the adjusted itinerary. Elliot was helpful with a few amenities we needed during our stay and also helped us when our key malfunctioned – he came up to meet us, no questions asked. Libby and Elliot are great assets to this resort. Javi got us set up with a loaner bear spray. Appreciated having it, but never had to use it. Before buying your own, unless you really want your own, you can check to see if they have any available for loan from the desk. Suite – 2 bedroom suite, room 408/end of the hall. We could see the 3 sisters peaks over the roofline of the nextdoor Stoneridge property. Both rooms offered a king size bed and there were 2 bathrooms. The living / kitchen area provided plenty of space and the essentials in the kitchen were great. (Although the creamer packets in the fridge tasted bad – not sure if they were old; housekeeping might want to put in a container and label with the expiration date so this could be monitored) Everything seemed to work well in the unit. Note – the bathroom vanities are tiny. In the en suite bathroom, there seems to be enough room for a slightly larger vanity, but a lot of properties in this area have smaller bathroom vanities. There was a crack in the sink, and it was slow to drain, but I mentioned this for maintenance and it did seem a bit better after they came to fix it. The AC is actually more of a chiller, but seemed to work fine to keep the room comfortable. I also liked we could keep the fan at constant on. If it was really a hot day, the AC might take a while to catch up. I’m not sure if the AC feature actually worked when we were not in the unit, even if the fan was blowing. It always felt a bit stuffy when we returned after a day of exploring. The bed was comfortable enough, although it wasn’t the best. I did sleep pretty well, but probably because I was so tired from all the exploring during the daylight hours! The shower was great – plenty of hot water and excellent pressure! Housekeeping – offered daily, but we generally kept the “do not disturb” sign up except for 3 times during our stay. They did a great job of tidying up and running the dishwasher, even though it wasn’t full. We did have a one-off situation - one time they forgot to take the dirty towels even though they had replaced all of them. Public areas/hallways – very dark and had a musty odor. This was definitely a negative aspect of the property. I hope they consider upgrading these areas at some point in the future because it’s depressing to come back after a day of exploring the outdoor beauty of the area and walk through such a dismal hallway to our room.
