“Great price”

The rooms are nice and clean, we had a leak from the ceiling and they upgraded our room,Staff are great and the breakfest was great,(Eggs, sausage, beans, bacon and cold breakfest as well. Out door pool was nice and refreshing after a hot day at African Lion Safari..Over-all great experience

I realize that this place used be a Holiday Inn, so I was not surprised to find a very tried old hotel with new "window dressings". It was clean but could of dressed up better. The decor is plain and old. Furniture is good quality but the lamps are old. There is a restaurant and bar. The food was good and priced correctly. Again, in this area the decor is old and you can see repair patches. They need signs that can be seen from the highway so they can get more clients through the door. And maybe some attention to the rooms like information booklets in the rooms. I checked for one and could not find any. There are several fast food places well within walking distance. A TD Bank just across the parking lot. LCBO and a grocery store that sells wine and beer about a two minute walk. So this place has things going for it. Price range not really sure, I booked on Corporate Lodging, I got a discounted rate from the lowest published rate which was around$66.00. That's about what I would pay until some serious renovations were done.

From what I understand this was the former Holiday Inn and recently taken over by a local group. Overall it was not bad, but not what one would expect. Staff here are great and do their best to overcome little problems which essentially stem from aging equipment that needs replacement and upgrade ( toilets, door locks and key cards that are "finickity") . Restaurant and bar hours are limited so plan on dining out most nights. Again, it's not bad but needs some TLC by the new owners to help what are extremely friendly staff.

We weren't expecting 5* when we booked the place so it didn't disappoint too much. The staff were lovely and helpful and the rooms were clean. The bed and shower were average, nothing special. Decor definitely needed an update. Breakfast is not cooked on site, and for what you get, may not be the best value compared to a local restaurant. Location was decent and not too far from where we needed to be. A few points to be aware of - the wifi is terrible. The lack of wifi signal, which continued to drop in and out during the stay and never made it above 2 bars in our room made working at the hotel impossible. TV, when we tried it was about the same as the wifi - never stable and kept dropping out. Overall, it was ok, but I'm not sure I will stay here again, particularly if I need to work.
