Got a very good deal as a solo traveller from Jet2 at the end of season. High season it would feel different but it was spacious and peaceful at the end of Sept. Hotel only about 30 minutes coach transfer from airport with stops on route. Hotel is huge & the rooms are spacious and well presented if dated. Very clean and fresh. Bring your own pillow if you are sensitive to having just the right density etc but bed very comfortable. Usual buffet all-inclusive set up but very tasty & varied for a meat-eater. Best I’ve experienced for many years. 24 hour bar offering quite good quality booze (being abused by the small number of Brits who let us down) and you have to hunt to find a smoke free area to sit (maybe I just got unlucky and found every other Brit had a fag on the go). Two huge pools. Unheated and spotless! Lovely golden beach at the end of the hotel grounds. Lovely to get the basics for free (safe in room, sunbed on beach etc) rather than being squeezed for more money as I found in Turkey etc. Bring cash and change it at the hotel or along sunny beach as the atm’s are expensive. Tip everywhere as the staff/people are so accommodating. Acceptable tip is 5 lev to 10 lev. Resort itself is one long beach with it getting busier as you head down from this hotel (quiet up at this end) and there’s no shortage of tat shops and clothing. Taxi’s were plentiful and weren’t crooks (but agree a price) and there’s a pretend steam train beachfront transport service that pretty much matched a taxi if there were more than two of you. I’m already looking out for a deal to come back here in 2025 for a week’s sun.

The hotel is well situated on Sunny Beach and is set back from the promenade and beach so unlike other hotels you can sit around the pool without being stared at by passers by. The hotel common areas are very clean and well maintained and the majority of the staff are pleasant and helpful. Rooms are clean and have all the usual amenities you would require, hairdryer, mini fridge, safe. 2 main pools, very well maintained and clean with toilets either side of them. Pool bar (not swim up) can get busy at times and all drinks are served in paper cups, which can collapse occasionally when you carry them. That’s the good bits, now we get onto the food. The is one main restaurant, a snack bar and two a la carte restaurants. The food served in the main restaurant is ok, cooked to an ok standard, can sometimes be on the cold side, so we used the microwave in the kids section to heat it up. The issue you will find is that it is very repetitive. Both the restaurant and snack bars do pizza for lunch and dinner, and you’ll usually find 4 or 5 different ways to cook chicken at the same sitting. Kids Corner usually consists of Chicken Nuggets and Chips for lunch and dinner, they do often have 2 types of chicken nuggets sat next to each other. The a la carte was a disappointment, we booked the hotel because it had two a la cartes, unfortunately the small print in the booking says we could only use one so we choose the Asian over the Italian. Food was ok but not great, best part was the sushi, but you have to request this, we presumed it would be a given so we ended up having it after our main not before. We stayed 7 nights all inclusive and ended up eating out for 4 of them, food is much better outside the bite and very cheap. Overall hotel is very pleasant but we would not go back due to the lack of variety for meals.

My husband have just returned from a stay at this hotel. It was excellent. Clean, spacious, brilliant facilities and atmosphere. The food was good, desserts brilliant, staff friendly and helpful. It's a long time since Ive felt as relaxed on a holiday. Some of the gym eqiupment was broken which was a shame, but we played tennis every day instead, and the court was brilliant. Would highly recommend this hotel.

“Very disappointed”

Had a lovely week at the Majestic Hotel at the end of September. Nice clean room, enjoyed the pool & entertainment. Good location. Was going to book this hotel again on my return home. Very disappointed to find items of clothing had been stolen from my case during my stay.
