“Double enjoyment within walking distance”

The staff are amazing and the hotel is clean and has all that you need. The hotel is situated within walking distance of many restaurants and bars! Saying this you are able to get a good night sleep and awake well rested! The breakfast in the morning is tasty with an omelette station

Very good room quality, amazing staff. Food was amazing as well. The place needs some work on the terrace, the pool was cold water and a bit dirty, the pool bar was empty, no service and not maintained. I would love to see the pool /terrace to be a place someone can actually enjoy.

In summary, this is an average hotel, albeit overpriced for what it currently offers. If you have a preference for Hilton-branded hotels, although this is not a bad hotel, there are better options in close proximity to this Doubletree. The pros at this hotel include: 1. Staff. All of the staff members I interacted with during my 3-night stay were exceptionally polite and professional. 2. Location. The hotel is located in what is considered to be one of the nicest neighborhoods in Sao Paulo and offers a wide variety of dining and shopping within a short walking distance of the hotel. 3. Rooms. Although somewhat small, my corner room on the 13th floor was recently renovated and had a round 1-meter table with a single chair, which while not ergonomic but was still reasonably comfortable for working. All rooms on this side of the building also have a (very) small balcony. The AC worked well, and the LED lighting was excellent as with good internet speed and Wi-Fi connectivity. The bed was comfortable and the walk-in shower had adequate hot water and good pressure. The hotel performed reasonably well on the following: 1. Breakfast. The breakfast buffet was average, and the made to order egg omelet bar rescued it from a lower rating. 2. Room cleaning. Room cleaning did not take place early, but it did eventually take place (sometimes very late in the afternoon), and the staff did a good job when they finally arrived. Towels were soft, clean and above average in quality. 3. Slow Elevators. Hopefully, the ongoing renovation project will include modernization of these very slow elevators. The hotel needs improvement in these areas: 1. Value. A Hilton Garden Inn is located less than 2 km. from this hotel, and its rates are typically 25-30% less than this Doubletree. The Hilton Garden Inn offers larger (and at least equally modern) rooms with ergonomic work desks and chairs. These hotels offer very similar breakfast buffets except the Hilton Garden Inn does not have an omelet bar (but does have scrambled eggs on the buffet). 2. Gym. The gym at the Doubletree is wholly unacceptable and is only marginally functionable. The equipment is many generations outdated and poorly maintained. 1 of the 2 treadmills and 1 of the 2 stationary bikes were inoperable during my stay, and while there is a single free weight bench, unfortunately there are surprising few (and outdated) free weights in the gym. The gym at the Hilton Garden Inn is smaller than the Doubletree, but its equipment is more modern and very well maintained. Renovations to the Doubletree were on-going during my visit, and perhaps when completed, the Doubletree will offer a viable option worth justifying its higher rates than the close-by Hilton Garden Inn, which is currently recommended over this Doubletree.
