great location for town and the local minibus stops outside that take you to the beaches.Staff were very friendly, but, as an observation NOT a criticism, very little English was spoken.The pool area was very well maintained and had a nice atmosphere.The hotel and bedrooms were clean .At times the small dining area could not cope for breakfast and sometimes a queue would form outside..There was a strange window in the bathroom that was permanently open and no screen so we had some visitors:some mosquitoes a giant millipede and a lizard .We let the lizard stay for the mosquitoes.

“Nice hotel with good location”

This hotel has a good location between the bus "station" and the beaches. You can easily walk there with your luggage. Town centre is also just five minutes away. There are two pools and beatiful views from the upper floor patio. Twin room was simple but spacious. Delicious buffet breakfast.

CONS: The parking is quite limited in the street in front of the hotel. There was lack of hot water in the shower frequently. Not so bad in summer as a colder bath was welcome but may be an issue in winter. When I arrived there was only one person at the reception desk which caused considerable delays in checking in. During breakfast the restaurant has about 10 tables and the hotel has 30+ rooms. This generated a line in waiting to have breakfast. The coffee/milk/chocolate etc comes from an automated machine (not that good on flavor and quality and not possible to remove the sugar from it). The swimming pool is not as big as we expected. PROS: The rooms and bathroom are quite clean and the rooms are new. The location is within walking distance to "Rua das Pedras" which is the restaurant and shopping area. Great for going out at night. The hotel has activities in combination with other hotels from the Latitud group and as such it gives you access to other sites to get few shared activities (only one or two per day). The staff was quite friendly and spoke at least Portuguese and Spanish. They have the most silent air conditioning system I ever came across.

Its a good hotel but notthing more. The placement is really cool, you can go by walking to the stores and restaurants. The hotel is a little old. The pool was not really clean. The room was very clean and large. About the breakfast, it starts at 8 , I think its late for having breakfast, better if it starts at 6.30, but after all its a good breakfast with enough choises. The stuff at the reception they re so nice and she was really doing her best to speak english. But price quality its a good one !
