Pousada Trijuncao

Located in the heart of South America, the Cerrado is considered the richest savannah in the world in terms of biodiversity, and houses more than 13,000 species of plants (about 5% of all plant species in the world). To deal with prolonged drought periods and also with fire, many of its plants have easily perceptible adaptations - including twisted trunks, thick and rough shell, and rigid leaves and with waxy surface. Just as flora, fauna is also lush. It is composed of more than 850 species of birds, 251 of mammals, 482 of reptiles and amphibians and 1,200 of fish. The Cerrado has great social importance, since a very large portion of the Brazilian population depends on its natural resources. Much more than a simple scenario, the cerrado is part of the lives of these cultures that interact deeply with their biodiversity. Currently left less than 50% of the original area of ​​Cerrado in Brazil, and it is estimated that 150 species of animals suffer the risk of extinction arising from the destruction or damage caused to their habitat. The jaguatirica, the jaguatirica, the tatu-canastra, the tamand-flag, the wolf-guará and the gray eagle are among these species, but live here at the trijunction free, protected and reproducing. The work of preserving the cerrado, its flora and fauna is very important for the environmental, social, cultural and economic sustainability of that biome. This is the mission of the Trijunção Fazenda, located in an area of ​​33,000 hectares of the Cerrado, fully protected and preserved.
