We stayed in the Plaza Hotel for a recent wedding trip and enjoyed the experience. We had a problem with our first room but hotel staff quickly accommodated our request to switch rooms. The hotel offers a free breakfast which like most restaurants we visited during our stay in southern Brazil was excellent, especially the pão do queijo and strong coffee!

“Very comfortable stay”
We stayed overnight at the Plaza for a visit to Oktoberfest in Blumenau. We had a warm welcome, the staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was very good. We would happily go back.

Here for the week, location is the best side of the hotel as it is near to the main amenities. Hotel room is very big with a jacuzzi and a shower to choose from. It is very clean and competitive in price though.

“Improving & Very Convenient”
This was my fifth stay and the Plaza's improving. They have replaced both elevators and my room (707) has been refreshed with new paint and furnishings. I had a very pleasant stay. This was my fifth stay and the Plaza's improving. They have replaced both elevators and my room (707) has been refreshed with new paint and furnishings. I had a very pleasant stay. Breakfast is very good. Perhaps not at the level of Cafehaus Gloria but who needs all those pastries at the start of the day? The hotel is centrally located and is a short distance from Shopping Neumarket and the river.

Good comfortable hotel for business trips. The rooms are in desperate need for a renovation - beds are old, the closet doors make crazy noise, mold starts developing in the bathroom. Good comfortable hotel for business trips. The rooms are in desperate need for a renovation - beds are old, the closet doors make crazy noise, mold starts developing in the bathroom. The minibar fridge makes a lot of noise so you better switch it off. But the staff is great, everything is kept clean. The pool and the bar/restaurant next to it are nice additions. The gym could be a bit bigger - barely fits 2-3 people. Good breakfast to start the day - although some more variation (salads, tomato, cucumber, some more meat choices) would be welcome. To be honest the Ibis next door had better choices for breakfast. All in all - I had a good stay and I would come back to it when in Blumenau, but Plaza lost a bit of its old glory and needs some renovation work to revitalize it.
