Hampton is an airport hotel located near the Guarulhos Airport. Stayed here for one night before transiting on to elsewhere in Brazil. The Twin Room I got for the one-night stay was very comfortable, the décor was lovely and the room looked relatively new as well. Shower was also great, with shower toiletries provided. One minor scare was that the in-room safe kept trying to register the code almost immediately on pressing the buttons, so it kept giving me an error because I could not complete the 4-digit code fast enough before it got read by the system. Please test the system first!! The last thing you want is to have your valuables somewhere where even you can’t reach them.. Since the hotel is fairly secluded, there aren’t a lot of dining options nearby, but thankfully you can dine at the hotel restaurant. Dinner is offered either ala carte or buffet-style, and wasn’t too expensive thankfully. One thing I really liked about this hotel was that its breakfast starts very early from ~4 am, so I really appreciated that I could have a hot breakfast before catching my flight the next day. The spreads for both meals were really decent too. The hotel also offers free airport shuttle service to-and-fro Terminals 2 and 3. For international passengers arriving from Terminal 3, you will see parallel roads with bays when you exit the terminal. Say the road directly outside the terminal is the “first”, head to the “third” road further out to wait for the airport shuttle. Another way of knowing that you are waiting at the right place is that you will see other hotel shuttles doing their pick-ups and drop-offs there as well. Note that this particular hotel has no signs up at the waiting area, and the shuttle timings are sometimes a little off schedule, but it will come eventually! For transfers from the hotel to the airport, do confirm with the reception staff when you check-in for the hours for the shuttle service. There is a booking system where they will note down your name, and all you have to do is wait around the lobby before the shuttle at your booked time.
