“Pretty decent”

Room smallish, hotel pretty small overall. Good location for walkers, though I'd recommend not walking to hotel from MIDI, neighborhood a little sketchy. Good staff, clean room. Immediate area bereft of good eating places. Might get better chairs in room 53, it was uncomfortable to sit in.

A very good hotel experience that has the potential to be a great one with a few minor changes. The hotel is conveniently located and easily walkable from Midi Station, and onwards to the city centre and major landmarks in Brussels. Staff at the reception desk are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I stayed in Room 54, which was a double room with a view on the top floor. The room itself is light, airy and well layed out. The bed is supremely comfortable, with it being a proper double bed and not just too singles stuck together. It is also in easy reach of several power sockets dotted around the bed and the room in general. The eco-friendly credentials of the hotel are really shown in the room through several small touches, such as the multi-use wooden crates and eco-friendly water purification jug. The bathroom is well sized, with a walk-in shower and large sink stocked with hand wash, body lotion and body wash. My one complaint for the bathroom would be the terrible water pressure of the shower, made worse by the small shower head. To give the benefit of the doubt, however, this may not be entirely within the hotel's control. One one day of my stay I was provided with a tatty, torn towel. However upon highlighting this it was swiftly dealt with by staff. I got good sleep, although another complaint would be the room's temperature control, which would go back to a default of 20°c no matter what was input. This made the room slightly colder than I would have liked. If it would be possible to change the temperature permanently, or if this was possible if there were instructions on how to do this, it would add a lot more comfort, especially when staying in the colder months. Breakfast was an interesting concept, choosing from a set menu of 3 options of all locally sourced food and drink. My particular dietary requirements were well-catered for What was served was very tasty, however more breakfast food and drink options would have been appreciated in replacement for items I was unable to have. It is also possible to have dinner at the hotel on certain days, although I did not do this. Overall a very good experience, and with a few minor improvements I would definitely be giving 5 stars. I look forward to staying again.

“A good comfortable, central stay.”

We booked the cosy double which was a reasonable size. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Great location, just 15 mins on public transport from Midi and 5-10 min walk to the centre. Plenty of eating and drinking options in the neighbourhood.We would certainly book here… more

We booked the cosy double which was a reasonable size. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Great location, just 15 mins on public transport from Midi and 5-10 min walk to the centre. Plenty of eating and drinking options in the neighbourhood.We would certainly book here again when we return. Just one thing: why with the glass bathroom door? I like my privacy!

“Can do better for the price”

Ok hotel, although in my opinion probably not worth the price. Room and bathromom quite spacious but not peculiarly "nice". No view in room 39 (window opens into internal opening inside the building. I totally understand that rooms must be left by noon, but receiving a call at 12:05 and a sour response to my asking (at 12:06) about the hurry may not have been necessary. Please remember : you are at the service of the customer, not the other way around. And being nice is certainly a prerequisite for the job, especially when the person in front of you is calm and polite.
