We had a very comfortable stay here, with a clean spacious room. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on our first evening in Antwerp, but bar meals were available and proved most acceptable, with adequate vegetarian choice and very prompt service. The hotel is very convenient for the railway station, which is just across the road. Although the environment is busy, the room was quiet and peaceful.

Good location on Astrid Square opposite the beautiful Belle Epoque station, so convenient for arrival by train and right by the famous Antwerp Zoo. Good location on Astrid Square opposite the beautiful Belle Epoque station, so convenient for arrival by train and right by the famous Antwerp Zoo. The rooms we had were lovely, interconnecting with balconies and super clean. There is a nice little swimming pool with sauna and steam bath. The breakfast was good and very well managed, though as a 5 star hotel, it would have been nice to have the option of eggs cooked to order. The downstairs bar and onsite restaurant 'Made in Antwerp' were cosy with good ambiance and there was a thoughtful space set aside for children. But it was very difficult for hotel guests to get to eat in the restaurant! The first night we were told that there was going to be a group eating in the restaurant but the staff managed to squeeze us in before the group arrived and we enjoyed our meal, the menu was limited but the food was good and there was a kid's menu. The second night we were told there was another group in the restaurant and we could only have the soup and bar snacks and sit in the bar! The third and last night we booked through Reception in the morning, but when I went to confirm the booking at the bar no-one knew anything about it and yes, you've guessed it, we could only have the soup and bar snacks because there was another group booked into the restaurant! As far as we could tell these were groups from outside the hotel and we were not the only hotel guests being asked to sit in the bar and have just soup and bar snacks. The staff took pity on us as it was our last night so we got a table in the restaurant as opposed to sitting in the bar, but we could only have the soup and snacks. I find it extraordinary that hotel guests are effectively excluded from the onsite restaurant because of groups from outside the hotel monopolising it.
