We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The first night we were put into a room that had heating issues, however we weren't told of this. The only indication was that it was a cold room and there was one electric heater plugged in. By the evening the room was very cold and the heater wasn't enough to heat the whole room. We requested another duvet via the hotel app as we were cold and we said that the room was not warm enough. No further information was given until the duvet was delivered (without a cover) after about three hours. The hotel emailed us the following morning suggesting that a room upgrade might solve the issue if we would like it. While this was a nice solution it did mean we had the aggravation of having to pack everything and move to another room the following morning for our second night. As the hotel must have been aware of the heating situation (to have added a separate heater) it might have been better to have mentioned it to us as we booked in. Some people may have had no issue with a cold room but for us it was definitely an issue. We both felt that the hotel took the quickest and easiest option of not saying anything until we complained, and this left us feeling that our well being and comfort was not the hotels highest priority. Another negative (for us) was that there was an overpowering use of scents. Air fresheners maybe? I don't believe it was from guests as it was exactly the same scent every time we walked though the hotel. I am not adverse to scents but it was very strong and people who are sensitive may struggle to walk through the hotel. That was the negative side of our stay - the positive is that it is an attractive comfortable hotel. The decor is fine. Though reviews have said it is dated, we found it to be charming. The breakfast is amazing. This holiday was the start of a tour of many places in Europe and this was the best breakfast service that we had throughout the entire trip. The variety is wonderful and even the fussiest eaters would be happy here. We only had a kettle in the room and preferred a coffee machine. We requested it and the staff said it would be no problem for us to have one and it was added to our room. The staff on reception that handled our upgrade were very kind and helpful - though it would have been far more professional if they had been a little more pro-active in this situation. We would stay again - but we would not unpack until we were certain that the room was warm enough to stay in!

Great place to stay in Bruges. Comfortable room, good breakfast, walking distance to main attractions and bars and restaurants.

If i will improve on something is the shower screen which is totally inadequate and does not prevent the water going all over

Threre was a door between my room and next room, so i could hear everything he was saying. i was terrible!!!
