“Lovely quiet hotel”

Stayed for two nights as a couple. The hotel is only 15 mins taxi ride from Bruges train station costing about €11. It's located within 10 mins walk from the main square, passing across the canal bridges and past historic houses, restaurants and bars. The room was fairly basic with only a couple of working English TV channels (but we weren't there to watch TV). The room was chilly to start with but soon warmed up with the warm air heating. Staff are helpful, polite and friendly. The water pressure is incredible for a much needed hot bath when we got back after hours walking around the city in minus temperatures. Didn't get to the spa downstairs, so can't comment on that, but it's an option for next time. Breakfast was pretty good with hot and cold options. Overall, we had a good experience and would stay there again.

“A must visit City and a great hotel to stay in.”

I went to run the Bruges Marathon on the 15th October and stayed at Hotel de Medici. I loved my room with a view of the canal. The staff was extremely friendly and most helpful. I came away very happy with the hotel. Good room, great view, very clean. I have to specifically mention Mathias and Liam. They were so kind and welcoming and helpful. They made us feel comfortable. Thank you.

“OK hotel as long as expectations are not too high.”

Good location. Reasonable room size and comfort except the hotel does not have the air conditioning available year round. Good location. Reasonable room size and comfort except the hotel does not have the air conditioning available year round. Our room was unbearably hot the day we checked in and they said it wasn’t hit enough for AC to be available. After intense complaining the night manager turned it on after midnight. Our group had a special dinner the night of our arrival. While we appreciate the effort the no choice, overdone beef entree was nearly inedible. Their breakfasts were very good each morning. They should stick to that meal only.

On arrival we were greted by a lovely chap he explained hotel policies and explained where our room was . We entered our room and was so disappointed it was dated and the bathroom had hair it and not clean. The lovely chap on reception gave us another room and apologise we went into that room but their was a light loose hanging from the bathroom ceiling. Next room was third time lucky it was clean but basic .breakfast was lovely. But went to order food from bar that was advertised, but was not available as only one member of staff working bar and reception.
