“Outstanding stay”

This is our second visit and again we have had an Absolutely faultless stay . - outstanding hospitality; extremely friendly staff- will book to come back. Our room was immaculate. And the indoor and outdoor pool were brilliant. The hosts were on hand the whole time.

We have just got home from our first family holiday here. Had to review it before i forgot, because what an absolutely amazing place & deserves all the praise it gets. The whole outdoor area is amazing, unique and probably would be very relaxing if it wasn't for our crazy toddler running round everywhere. It was such a lovely space for our toddler to explore and we managed to tire him out before bed every night ! The family & staff are all amazing, very welcoming and helpful, and we loved all the home grown products. The food is delicious. Melon soup , wow , perfect for the warm days! I will be making this at home! Good local walks, beautiful streams for paddling, enchanting woods and strawberry picking fields within a 10 minute walk. We had a fabulous stay and will hopefully be back as our little boy grows into an adventurer !

“Christmas 2019”

We stayed here for four days including Christmas. We had been pre warned that the restaurant was closed until 25th night. We stayed here for four days including Christmas. We had been pre warned that the restaurant was closed until 25th night. The hotel has a historic feel to it and is surrounded by hills and is a v short walk to a bus that runs every 15 minutes or so into central Salzburg (€2.80 per trip). On arrival we were greeted by Karoline on reception who was extremely helpful - in fact almost too much to take in. As an example we were given a printout of all the available restaurants for 24th evening (which they celebrate more than the 25th). There are very few TV channels in English so we were glad of our Amazon Fire stick. We had a lovely meal in the restaraunt although the menu is entirely in German - whilst Karoline was happily reading all 50 or so options in full, you can't possibly take it all in and the scipt style font prevented Google Translate doing its thing. I guess it is authentic and adds character but you can end up looking for Schnitzels! There is a pub/restaurant quite close too although the directions given were left or right out of the hotel when it was right to the road, then left or right ! Negatives: The pillows! We had one each which had so little stuffing that it was more like a quarter of a pillow. I did peek into a chest in the hallway that had extras - also note, our double bed was two singles (and two single duvets). So all in all a very nice place if want something a littl emore authentic than central Salzburg offers and lovely staff.

Great friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, good restaurant with delicious local cuisine, the setting with indoor outdoor restaurant area, indoor outdoor pools, gym and sauna, and large green gardens and hill scenery make this place worth it. Easy two minute walk to bus takes directly into centre or we enjoyed a leisurely hour walk back along the river (very safe, quiet and peaceful even at 10pm).
