“Worth the stay!”

I booked a Double Room (medium) for 3 nights and the overall experience was great! 1) Location is 5* within walking distance to most places of interest and plenty of restaurants. 2). Both the room and bathroom are very spacious and clean with modern zen vibes. 3). As I did not want housekeeping, the considerate hotel staff left a bag of fresh towels and toiletries on my door daily. 4). Breakfast was good and their eggs were yummy. The only issue is that the air-con ventilation was inconsistent and would make loud noises. This is fine by me but maybe not for the light sleepers.

This hotel is a gem located in the center of Salzburg within walkable distance to everything interesting. The hotel itself is an older building so some of the rooms and hallways were a bit quirky but that's part of the charm! I will say that the rooms are a tiny bit on the small side but if you're there to visit the town and explore it's not an issue at all. Not to be missed is the fantastic artwork all over the walls and hallways - it's really fun looking at all of the decorations on the walls. you really cannot be disappointed with this location, we easily managed to walk everywhere in town that appealed to tourists from shops to restaurants to sites. One small note - finding a place to park/stop and unload your luggage can be a bit challenging; I think we circled the block twice waiting for a spot to open long enough for us to unload our luggage.

The Arthotel blaue Gans is a small boutique hotel located within walking distance to all the Salzburg sights. The hotel back entrance opens up onto the main shopping street which is then within easy walking distance to Mozart’s birthplace and to the foot bridge (with all the padlocks) across the river to his residence and the Mirabell palace and gardens. We stayed in room 210 which had a comfortable king bed, plenty of space, a safe but unfortunately no refrigerator. Our TV also didn’t work and we had to checkout the next day before it was fixed which was frustrating. If you are driving to the hotel it is a bit of a nightmare with regard to unloading then finding the public underground parking garage about a quarter of a mile away and the confusing entrance/exit garage ticket debacle that costs about $20 a day. overall a decent hotel in a great location.

The mattress was visibly sunken in and needed to be replaced. There’s no mention that the restaurant and bar are closed on Sunday - the one day that we stayed and the main reason for choosing the hotel. The mattress was visibly sunken in and needed to be replaced. There’s no mention that the restaurant and bar are closed on Sunday - the one day that we stayed and the main reason for choosing the hotel. Finding a space to park while dropping off luggage is next to impossible. Much of the space in front of the hotel is being used for outdoor dining with room for one or two cars at best at a busy intersection.
