“Awesome Stay”

We had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel. Perfectly located, amazing staff (shout out to Helmut and the entire team), nicely appointed rooms and amenities. The breakfast was a nice variety each morning. Hope to be back one day soon.

We had an amazing two story loft in the annex and aside from tiny elevators that can apparently lift only two people at a time Was fantastic. Great views, great location, and a tub large enough to do laps in (not really). Easy to get to/from the train station and right next two several bus lines… more

We had an amazing two story loft in the annex and aside from tiny elevators that can apparently lift only two people at a time Was fantastic. Great views, great location, and a tub large enough to do laps in (not really). Easy to get to/from the train station and right next two several bus lines that tie into the metro system. A decent grocery store was around the corner with a larger one just a couple of blocks away. There is a great Latin restaurant next door along with several other good eats nearby. Front desk was pretty helpful too though we did have a hiccup where a misunderstanding led to a very high breakfast bill (20 euro per day per person) but we managed to work through that to our satisfaction. The minibar can be emptied for personal use (just ask). Kids loved the pool though small and an echo chamber.

Can't get much better for location - walking distance to centre but on a quiet street. Can't get much better for location - walking distance to centre but on a quiet street. Staff friendly Breakfast was plentiful and good Room needs a refresh especially bathroom - toilet way to close to wall (couldn't fit left leg there) and shower stall a tad too small. Larger North Americans would have great difficulty in this bathroom. I know it is Europe but for the price paid and some of the pictures I would expect a better bathroom - but this is minor as the hotel was very quiet and great location. There were also no English channels so tv couldn't really be used (only CNN but that didn't always have reception for some reason). Would give 5* but can't based on my room experience. Highly recommend the hotel though.

“Does not live up to the price point”

If this was a cheaper hotel, I wouldn’t have many complaints. But given how expensive the rooms are ($300+/night), I was genuinely shocked at the quality of this hotel. Our room’s shampoo bottles were still empty when we arrived. The tea kettle was dirty. The minibar was not stocked, despite advertising snacks and drinks. All this led me to wonder if our room was even cleaned or checked before our arrival. The daily room cleanings also did not restock glasses or coffee and missed trash. After one cleaning, the service actually left tons of toilet paper unflushed in our toilet — like an awkwardly large amount. Not sure what was up with that. The restaurant is also closed every night and only serves breakfast. The bar advertises “mixed drinks” that sell for $11 but they use these odd premixed packets of liquid that they just add ice to and then hand you a clear liquid with a few ice cubes. Doesn’t matter what drink you want — daiquiri, margarita, etc. it’s just a clear drink with some ice that has the vague hint of the actual cocktail it’s meant to replicate. If that was a $4 drink, fine. But charging cocktail prices for off-flavor crystal light packets is insane. Staff at breakfast were very nice and our experience with them has been the one saving grace. The steam sauna is also tight.
