It is in a good location with walking access from the Hotel to Nasserien Bubble etc or a short bus ride to the Galsig central lift system area, just 3 or 4 minutes away. The hotel is traditional, well-presented, and has rooms with good storage. All Spa facilities are first-class and easy to navigate. There is a secure ski room. All the staff in this family-run hotel are hardworking with engaging positive attitudes always in an effort to prioritise guests' needs. Breakfast is a typical well-presented Austrian buffet. The dinner is initiated with an impressive salad buffet. probably the best I have experienced in 40 years. The follow-up waiter/ waitress four-course dinner, despite some effort seems to fall a little short. Sometimes a little difficult to pinpoint...clear soups, and a general lack of hearty vegetables though the sweet course generally rescued the process. One wonderful gesture was a good choice of drinks at the bar and in the restaurant, but also jugs of tap water continually supplied at no charge. I consider this a wonderful gesture to guests and the planet, considering how many other hotels not only charge for water but will only supply bottled still or sparkling water. Overall, the Hotel Arlberg is a great place to stay.

“Didn't live up to expectations - Inghams at fault”

Have just spent a week at this hotel over Christmas. The change in ownership since i booked that Inghams indicated would change nothing, sadly was not true. The breakfasts were not very good (cold boiled eggs, cold scrambled eggs) & did not give the same offerings as in previous years. No menu choice for supper. The puddings each evening were all variations on the same theme. There is nothing wrong with the hotel, but the new owners are running it as a 3* hotel and i when i booked, it was being sold as a 4* hotel. All the staff were lovely & very approachable & the hotel itself is rather nice, though slightly older in finishes. The saunas & jacuzzi & pool area were super to have. Bedroom was a lovely size, with a nice en suite, but lacked shampoos etc in the bathroom & also no welcome pack in the room. The hotel charged 3 euro for tap water, which was rather steep (!) & is not charged by other hotels. All in all, i'd probably give the hotel a miss in future.

“A big disappointment ruined by new owners.”

Sadly this hotel was acquired by a Danish hotel group in the summer after we had booked through Inghams. They have severely reduced the quality of the service making this more of a 2-3* hotel. The food was the biggest let down. The first nights buffet was very poor and after that it was a set menu with no choice at all, with dessert being a buffet. Tap water was charged for every night which we had never experienced anywhere in the world before. Breakfast was even worse, with a very low quality cooked breakfast. It took 5 days before we could get English Breakfast tea. On the positive side, a great, quiet location 5 minutes walk from the Nasserein lift and a bus opposite the hotel which took you to the Galzig gondola. The spa we thought was really big and we enjoyed it. We had upgraded to a superior room which was very spacious with a lounge area and is the main reason that this is a 3* rather than 2* review. The daily room cleaning was excellent. The staff was an area the new owners had clearly gone ‘cheap’ with the hotel effectively being run by inexperienced youngsters. Sadly, we won’t be returning as a once great hotel is now very average.

This hotel is nice, but I would not class it as 4 star hotel.. Pros - the rooms are clean and comfortable. Location great for the Nasserein lift. Cons- no comfort on the bar area, harsh lighting, a tv with a video of a log burning fire really did not give the feeling of comfort. Bar staff very busy meaning slow service at times. Breakfast was extremely poor, very limited fruit, a few chopped up oranges and melon. Very unappealing sausages and scrambled eggs. Really disappointing. No options for the evening menu, it was tasty, but would be nice to have two options, especially for fussy children. Charged for the table water. Although the rooms clean, they were very clinical, soap dispensers in the shower and sink, this does not give any feeling of luxury, felt cheap. No slippers provided to go to the spa area meaning the carpet was wet along the spa corridor. This would have been nice to go with the dressing gown provided. Overall not a 4 star experience, especially considering how much we paid to stay here.
