“Very good experience, great location”

We stayed at Bergresort 3 nights at the end of May. We arrived on 7pm (we let them know our arrival time a week earlier), and although dinner is served until 8:30pm the staff was inpatient. Not a great start. However, later it was much better. Food is usually from menu although there is always a salad and cheese buffet. You have to ask the waiter for Coffee, Tea and water, which is not so convenient. Dinner might take 1.5 hour cause you have to wait for service. Sometimes it is fine, but we had other plans on a certain day. Other than that - the facility is good and well maintained. Good to soak in the jacuzzi after a long hike. There are 2 inner pools and one outside heated pool - we favored the latter. It was nice be in the pool with a view of the surrounding mountains.

We visited the hotel over New Years and early January 2022 with our dog and we were very impressed. We received a warm welcome on arrival (they ask the breed of dog to be able to personalize the ‘do not disturb’ sign which was a lovely touch) and during our one week stay we were delighted with the spa facilities, the lovely room and the delicious food in the restaurant (each table has a dog bed which is great). All staff (including the cleaning staff who always managed to clean our room when we were at breakfast - we have stayed in many 5 star hotels where this was not the case!) were welcoming and helpful. This is exactly what we expected when booking - a four star hotel in a good location with a broad range of facilities and an especially warm welcome for canine family members. We will be back.

“Not really superior...”

Dogfriendly hotel : ok. They advertise a large area to let dogs run but as there are many dogs, you hardly get a chance. Would be better to split into smaller areas. Dogfriendly hotel : ok. They advertise a large area to let dogs run but as there are many dogs, you hardly get a chance. Would be better to split into smaller areas. Same for dinner : nice picture with bench for dog, but not enough places for the number of guests. Rooms : need renovation : rooms are clean, but everything feels "standard" (even a bit sub-standard). Acoustic insulation needs improvement. Superior room = view on parking and trees. Just bigger, no view at all. ( Few rooms have a real view if you look at the building.) non-smoking : as in many hotels .. a joke You get a non-smoking room but when your neighbour smokes on terrace... you get the stinking smell anyway. Beds : good Bathroom : clean. Equipment is adequate, but on the cheap. Food : ok, nothing special. Quantities are large, so skip a few parts :) breakfast runs out of variety too soon . Lack of staff means you sometimes need to wait a long time for your coffee ... Reception : the matron (catering part) is not friendly and acts superior to the guests. You're supposed to have read on their website to reserve a table "with the dogs" (which they highlight all the time)... and she shows very clearly that it is your fault that you missed that part. Noisy : on several evenings live music that you hear upto your "superior" room (luckily an extra internal door shuts that noise off) Lot of noise from the busy road throughout the night and morning. Wifi : make sure you have 4G and hotspot, cause the Wifi doesn't work very well. Parking : not enough places for all guests. We had to pay underground parking to get a spot. When we arrived, no way to park the car after the long drive. wellness : if you want to relax … not here. kids jumping in the pool, playing ball. This is a hotel that has grown too big (multiple extensions are clearly visible) . It misses the hospitality, the charm but at the same time the quality level of bigger hotels. They try to attract dog-owners , families (so you get little children and that doesn't mix well with dogs); hikers (hotel is too busy and noisy if you walked whole day) and lots of guests (but miss the efficiency, parking and "views"). IMO they want to make money of everybody but cater for none. Overall : ok for a week, but wouldn't come back and wouldn't recommend. there must be better alternatives in Tirol

This hotel has the best facilities you will find anywhere for dogs. We will return here in future for sure because of it. However, the service in the restaurant was shocking. The staff, many from other parts of Europe, were totally disorganised and apparently are using the experience to learn German. As English speakers with a little German, this was of no help to us. They were very nice people and apologetic but need a lot of training and procedures in place to help them out. Simple aids like paper sheets with table numbers and what has been ordered would help them.
