The hotel awaits you with a large dining room, a cozy hotel bar and café, a reception area and a ski cellar with boot drying room. In the excellent à la carte restaurant you can enjoy typical Austrian delicacies, Tyrolean delicacies as well as cheese dumplings, cheese spaetzle, pizza and pasta dishes - prepared personally by the chefs. Vegetarians can also indulge their culinary preferences and choose from a wide range of meatless dishes. Free on-site parking is available. WiFi is free in all areas. Rooms The 27 lovingly designed rooms in traditional Tyrolean style have a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, WiFi and most have a balcony. DS (2-3): Double room, approx. 17m². DD (2-2): Deluxe Alpine Style double room, approx. 26m², luxurious rooms with bathrobe, comfortable box spring bed and comfortable seating area. DF (2-4): Family room, approx. 25m² with pull-out couch. ES (1-1): Single room, approx. 13m². Meals Half-board: extensive breakfast buffet, in the evening a tasteful 4-course menu with a choice of main course (with or without meat) including a salad buffet. Winter fun Due to the optimal location of the hotel in the middle of the Pitztal, you benefit from 3 ski areas in the immediate vicinity. The popular family ski area Hochzeiger (9km) with 40 kilometers of pistes in all levels of difficulty and sun-drenched descents fulfills the wishes of skiers of all ages. The skiing area and cross-country skiing paradise Rifflsee (16km) offers an attractive range of varied slopes for the whole family. On the Pitztal Glacier (16km) with Austria's highest cable car, you can enjoy skiing from September to May. The technical connection between the Rifflsee ski area and the glacier ski area opens up 40 kilometers of pistes on perfectly groomed natural snow pistes, but also lonely powder snow slopes or grippy firn snow descents. The free ski bus, which stops right in front of the house, takes you to the Hochzeiger and Riffelsee valley stations and to the Pitztal Glacier in no time at all. Access to the next cross-country trail is only 50m away. The Pitztal is not only one of the best addresses when it comes to skiing and snowboarding fun, you can also experience nature from its most beautiful side off the slopes. Leave everyday life behind with a winter or snowshoe hike in the snow-covered Pitztal mountains or cross-country skiing on the perfectly groomed Talloipe, in the Rifflsee area or in the impressive Kaunergrat Nature Park. Ice skating, ice climbing, tobogganing or a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride complete the winter offer in Pitztal. “Pretty good hotel, but?”

“Mixed feelings”

(+) I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. I would say that the service and our stay would have been perfect, if the lady who runs the place is not there all the time. All personnel is very efficient and does its best: young lady at the reception, all waiters, cleaning lady! No complains, everything is impeccable. We had half-board and had to order main dish a day before. When we were coming with our always hungry 2 years old daughter at 6 p.m., we were getting our food very fast. Their chef is great! Food was delicious every day! Our room was cleaned in the morning, where we were not there and our daughter could sleep around noon. (-) Initially we had a reservation for 4 nights and extended our stay for one more night and arrived one day earlier. In this circumstance we wanted to know in which room we could stay next day during lunch time, since our daughter had to have her afternoon nap. The owner lady started to emotionally exclaim that she cannot through away the guests from the room, where we suppose to stay for the next 4 days and she could not confirm that we could stay in the room, where we slept before. We packed our things and left to the mountains. When we got back, our luggage was moved to a new room. They said it was a “comfort” room (109) compared to the “standard” room (206), where we stayed one night. The “comfort” room (109) was much worse than the “standard” one (206). Pillows and bed were better in the standard room, there was a separate balcony. In the comfort room you have to share the balcony. The bed was creaking and we had to move very careful in the night not to wake up our daughter. All handles were also creaking. Room design is very strange: toilet is located close to the bed, so if you go there in the night, most probably you wake up your partner. No fridge. Many flies! I was catching 5-10 flights in the evening, if we open our balcony. In general, the attitude of the owner lady was not friendly. She pretended to be friendly but it was not genuine at all. During breakfast she offered espresso, coffe latte or cappuccino only to those guests she liked. Once we were accused for taking food, when my wife took 2 bananas behind her back, so that our daughter does not see them, otherwise she will be immediately asking for them without having a proper food. Of course she would have not taken the bananas, if they were available all the time but not! There were only those 2 bananas and only when the lady felt it, she brought more specific fruits. There is sauna but it works between 15 and 20. There is a heated pool but it is not warm enough for little kids. There is nothing actually for kids. You have to drive somewhere away, if you want some sort of entertainment for children. I do not know what is the problem to make a drinking menu, which is not available. You have to ask all the time what they have and of course the waiters would not tell you the entire menu. I also do not understand, why the light is not switched on automatically. You have to push the light buttons in all corridors and it is not convenient, if you carry a baby. No lifts.

Seems to be a hotel where most people use half board stay as everyone joins at the restaurant at the same time. Dinner was pretty good. We had mixed grill which tasted good. “dinner with families during wintersport”

it was all crowded so we had to take the second shift the Wednesday evening. it was all worth waiting, separate table for kids and adults so it was possible to have a nice conversation. You canc choose soup, main course and deser, everything delicous. You choose your dishes a day before, meat option, wegetarian option and pizza. Sadly, the water in pool is pretty cold, not enough to relax. Overwall, I think this hotel should be more modern (execpt the modern rooms, because they are really good) , and it would be perfect ;).
