We loved this hotel. It is a large hotel but maintains the family run feel to it. There's a lovely set of photos in reception that show the history of the hotel right up to the current family members that run it (and work there). The room was large, great set up with a kitchenette, with a microwave, two hobs, fridge and utensils. We had half board and the breakfast options were extensive. There was 'english breakfast' style eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and made-to-request omelettes, along with bakery options, a full range of cold meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals etc etc. We had dinner twice in the restaurant, really good A La Carte menu and the steak was fantastic! Can totally recommend even to just visit the restaurant for the top class food. The barman was super friendly and made the best Cosmopolitans in town! There is a ski shop (inc Rental) inside the hotel, they were really helpful with sorting me out with some rental skis and the lockers provided, one locker per room were great. You do need to take your own padlock though if you want to lock your locker but access to the locker room after hours is only accessible with a hotel key. We found the reception staff to be friendly and there seemed to be free parking available. The best thing about the hotel though was the proximity to the ski lift - literally just a few minutes walk, with the ski run coming down in front of the hotel. Just 5-10 minutes walk the other way into town. We had a perfect stay!

From the nice lady at the breakfast with her sweet smile, the very nearby ski lifts (literally 1 min. walk), the spa with all the various saunas, the comfy and spacious room, the cozy bar with the good Riesling wine and everything about the food. Thank you so much hotel Regina, we had the best time!!! We never forget this and definitely come back next year.

we stayed at Hotel Regina last week for 5 nights and honestly nothing could have been better - location was ideal, just a minute's walk from the main cable car up the mountain, the staff were incredibly helpful. in fact, they had been so ever since we booked and made a few enquiries, to which they gave really helpful detailed responses. We stayed in a Superior Suite on the 3rd floor, which was fantastic, super comfortable and just what we needed with proper kitchen area - it was rather warm at night, even with window open, but i guess there are worse things! At breakfast, again the staff could not be more polite, friendly and helpful - the selection was fantastic, and beautifully cooked fresh omelettes available every morning. we will definitely be returning to Hotel Regina, and would like to highly compliment the Fiegl family who should be proud of each and every member of the family that is involved. A real gem of a find - danke schön!

“More a good 3 star than a 4.”

Not sure how this can be described as 4 star even though they charge like one. After a long journey exhausted adults and kids were offered no help with luggage on arrival, even though it was patently obvious we needed same making numerous trips out to the car. On departure assistance was requested and I was referred to a basement area to locate a 2nd hand airport luggage trolly. ! . Room was ok warm and clean, bed comfortable etc. . Hot water in shower almost impossible to regulate. On the one evening we dined in the food was good. Breakfast to be honest was basic for a 4 star, had a canteen feel, coffee machines need up dating, that being said food service staff were friendly efficient and hard working. Pool very cold, kids used it only once. The ski hire shop is good, helpful staff, boot room opens right onto the street but very strange you can’t lock the lockers. In conclusion its overpriced for a 4 star and the focus I suspect is on cost cutting rather than on the guest. The positives are proximity and ease of ski hire and lifts. Otherwise it’s a bit soulless , it just lacks the famous Ötztal’s warm welcome and fond farewell . I would respectfully suggest that managers should study their own web site and lean from it and I quote “ There are many reasons to become a host. For us, it is the love for Ötztal’s nature while maintaining our lived tradition. But above all, it is the smile on a guest's face upon arrival that turns into radiant enthusiasm “ , unfortunately not on this occasion and for that absence I gave it a 3.
