We have visited this beautiful hotel on ten occasions for skiing. However this year we visited in the summer. Although much quieter it was still a wonderful experience. The staff were amazing. Very friendly but also efficient. The food was exceptional. The spa and pool was a beautiful environment to relax in. As the weather was lovely and warm we could use the sun beds on the terrace. I would 100% recommend the Edelweiss in summer and winter

I want to say a massive thank you to Family Scheiber and all the staff at the Edelweiss for such a wonderful week’s holiday. My husband and I are Obergurgl regulars (including at the Edelweiss) and we took a couple of friends this time who were first-timers. The hotel was SO accommodating in every respect. We went outside school holidays and it was just perfect: - Excellent breakfast buffet, really extensive. - Brilliantly accommodating with our room and dining seating requests. - Best location in the resort (right at the bottom of main lifts). - Delicious dinner. - Our room was so quiet at night (even with windows open). Nice, newly refurbished, clean and very large. Super mountain view. - First class spa and sauna - lovely warm outdoor and indoor pools, brilliant spa area (so big and clean, with lots of different sauna, steam and shower areas). - Excellent ski hire shop on site - and great locker room facilities. - Comfortable bar area. - Really easy booking, and the hotel arranged transfers and lift passes too. - Such friendly staff. I am just about to book us in again the same time next year!

Outstanding location: one of the easiest and trouble free ski hire and lift access arrangements I have encountered. Located essentially in the same building structure as the first bubble with ski hire in the basement along with the Hotel’s vast and well appointed boot room. All these services and the ski lift are accessed via escalators; no stairs to lug your kit about or tempt the trip-up genie! Typical Austrian decor throughout and the usual Austrian set up for a dinner BnB guest with an allocated table for your whole trip. The food was great quality and you are unlikely to go hungry. The dining staff are friendly and efficient although at very busy times we noticed them under a little pressure. The separate fondue restaurant is an excellent choice for one of your meals (there is a very well worth it extra charge for this and you must book early as it is very popular). The rooms are well furnished with above average fitments. They are cleaned and reset to a high standard. My room looked over the home ski run and bubble affording delightful views. The spa with indoor and outdoor pools did not disappoint and my day three massage was very good. Mr Scheiber the current owner is also the Hotel’s GM. He made himself available to resolve an issue which arose in the bar area one evening before dinner. He listened attentively and resolved to attend to the matter, which he did so efficiently and courteously. This attention to the concerns of a guest was very reassuring. The matter having been resolved satisfactorily our trip went from strength to strength. Will most definitely return here.
