The room and hotel were clean and comfortable. The five-person room featured two double beds and one single. The value was very good, particularly as options are limited for groups of five or more. There was a modest breakfast spread included. Parking was available on-site but requires assistance from hotel staff (based on the space available other guest cars need to be moved to provide in/out access). If you plan on driving frequently or at odd hours, this might be an inconvenience but otherwise it was not a problem. The wi-fi service worked well.

We were glad we arrived by taxi the Hotel is hard to find. It is on a hilly side street on a dark winter night. Good bus connections to town centre 300 metres uphill. Interesting area. The room is simply furnished. One plug to charge phones/devices. Walls are well-insulated, so it was quiet. 130 euros is OTT for this room - it was peak ski season rate. Hotel was packed. Breakfast was decent, the boiled eggs were cold as if they came straight out of the fridge. Coffee machine was modern, but the old coffee cups were too small for the portions. Given the number of people, the receptionist was overwhelmed and unhelpful. He was borderline rude twice - on arrival and when I told him there was no hot water in the water heater. We would not plan to stay here again much as we love the city.

The hotel is on a hill on the other side of the Inn, in an alternative quarter of Innsbruck - a pleasant surprise. Trendy bars & curious workshops/ craft shops are all nearby. Our room was warm - almost overheated, and apart from the fan which rumbled once you switched the bathoom light on, and the dearth of sockets to charge a phone, everything was decent, including breakfast. If you request "mountain view" as we did - we found you need to twist your neck to see beyond the house opposite, but it's there. However I'd like to warn potential guests that the hotel doesn't necessarily reply to emails, or pick up the mobile phones on their website. It made us worried, as our plane had been diverted, and it was getting late. As I made the reservation months earlier, I tried to check someone would still be there late evening. I couldn't get through. On arrival, there was noone at the reception, and once the receptionist arrived, he chided my husband for using the bell provided. We were told that our email wasn't received, no explanation was given re mobile calls. The landline may work - I am not sure. Also, it is worth knowing that the hotel entrance is on a sloped side street. We were lucky that there was no ice on the day we had to wheel our cases to the nearest bus stop higher up the hill.

“Worn down but cozy in a great location”

Worn down but also quite cute hotel in a great location. What could improve is: Lack of AC (unlucky 35 deg celsius during our stay), black mold in the bathroom ceiling and very fluctuating hot and cold water in the shower. Worn down but also quite cute hotel in a great location. What could improve is: Lack of AC (unlucky 35 deg celsius during our stay), black mold in the bathroom ceiling and very fluctuating hot and cold water in the shower. What was good: The location in the old town is great. Tight little parking slope, but hey there is parking! And the young ladies working the reception and the breakfast hall were fantastic. Service-minded and hard-working for the guests’ sake. If you are focusing on walking distance to bars and restaurants and want something affordable and simple, without emptying your wallet - this could be it.
