Not what we expected although location was good, hotel is pretty basic. Reception/hotel closed from 11.00am to 3.00pm, we arrive around 1.00pm by train were unable to get in. Not what we expected although location was good, hotel is pretty basic. Reception/hotel closed from 11.00am to 3.00pm, we arrive around 1.00pm by train were unable to get in. Adjacent o hotel in small italian restaurant where owner could see we were unable to get in so offered to look after our cases and have a drink - big mistake. These people prey on tourists who arrive between 11 and 3.00 and get them into restaurant and the charge absurd price for below average food, we complained and he became abusive. Avoid this trap as there are good restaurants little further down the road.

“Excellent location but basic”

I stayed here for 3 nights, reception is only staffed between 3 and 7, I arrived by train at 12 so I left my luggage in the station lockers for 3hrs. I stayed here for 3 nights, reception is only staffed between 3 and 7, I arrived by train at 12 so I left my luggage in the station lockers for 3hrs. I would say this was quite a basic hotel, it had a TV but no fridge, tea making facilities, safe or hairdryer. The breakfast was ok, bread rolls, croissants, meat, cheese, boiled egg, cereals, coffee, fruit juices. My pillow was very soft so I requested a second pillow via the booking app which they duly obliged the next day. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the train/bus station and also to the old town, however it is on a busy street, the traffic noise was not an issue but the groups of people talking loudly on the street at 3am was. This happened on 2 of the 3 nights I stayed.

Ok for one night. Many quirks here. Doors do not open until 3 so do not try to check in early or try to leave your luggage. If you want a kettle or hair dryer you can rent them from office. Ok for one night. Many quirks here. Doors do not open until 3 so do not try to check in early or try to leave your luggage. If you want a kettle or hair dryer you can rent them from office. They have rooms with no ensuite so it's a shared toilet. There is a separate shower as well. Bed was comfy enough. We had an ensuite and our shower and toilet area were ok. The carpets need a change. Our room had a moldy smell. Our main light was out. Breakfast is ok I guess. Nobody at the desk after 7pm. Location is fantastic though. Down the street from main train station and the main tourist square. Don't think I would stay here again though.
