Hotel Innsbruck was one of my hotel highlights for this trip. The stellar service began months before my arrival, when the staff assisted me in selecting a nice, quiet room perfect for a solo traveler and assisted me in making dining reservations and providing helpful tips for getting around the city. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted and shown to my room, which was ready! A pleasant surprise given that this was in the morning. The room itself left nothing to be desired. I honestly thought I had booked and paid for a single room, and upon checking, this is correct. I was astounded when I walked in to find not only a king-sized bed, but a sitting area with a pull-out couch, a pine air-ventilator (reserved for the nicer rooms), and elegant touches everywhere. This was definitely not a single room, but how could I complain? Breakfast was abundant and varied, a little bit of everything for everyone, with changing daily offerings. I looked forward to that every morning. The spa services are what really impressed me with this property. A nice-sized swimming pool in the basement sits next to a wonderful clothed sauna (nude sauna is upstairs), and a relaxation room. The pool is open 24 hours a day, so I loved coming back from dinner for a nice evening swim and sauna before heading to bed. As a testament to the stellar service, I ran into an emergency on my first night. I had left an important prescription behind in my last destination, and needed to take it daily. Despondant, I called reception and let them know the issue. They connected me with a pharmacy in town which happened to be open (this was midnight btw), and got them to approve an emergency refill to last me through the rest of my trip! I couldn't be more thankful, the efforts of the staff saved me from being bedridden for the remainder of my trip. Overall, I would not hesitate to return to Hotel Innsbruck time and time again every time I find myself returning to Innsbruck.

“A fine place to stay in Innsbruck's old town”

We spent one night here and it was quite comfortable. Our "design" room, 109, had a step-in shower but no view, which was fine since the room was really quiet. The big bed with puffy duvets was great for sleeping. The location is great, right across the street from the famous Inn river bridge and colorful houses beneath the mountain. You can walk to everything in the old town from here, including the Nordkette funicular. The breakfast buffet was good, though the server insisted we also choose two items from the cooked-to-order menu (fine but not outstanding). The hotel loaned us umbrellas so we could roam around a bit—we suggest checking out Markthalle across the square—and overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Amazing service by the staff at breakfast. A very special thanks to Victoria for her hospitality. She was very kind and attended to all my needs. This kind of service really goes along way in making a hotel stand out. I Would highly recommend everyone to go there.

Overall it was a nice hotel. However I was disappointed with a couple of things. 1) There was no mini fridge in the room. I like to have a gin and tonic of an afternoon before going out to dinner. Overall it was a nice hotel. However I was disappointed with a couple of things. 1) There was no mini fridge in the room. I like to have a gin and tonic of an afternoon before going out to dinner. I was informed that the fridges were removed for environmental reasons. I think it was more for commercial reasons. There was a fridge in the luxury room, but not in other room. I haven't stayed in a hotel that doesn't have a fridge since the 80's. Not a huge deal, but disappointing. 2) The maid left all her things scattered outside the lift every morning. Not really what you would expect of this rated hotel. 3) The bathroom light was on a sensor, so at night you had to fumble through the room to find the bathroom then the light would blaze on and wake up my wife. The good things - 1) Well located 2) Nice beds 3) Good size room 4) Great sauna 5) Adequate breakfast
