“Great out of city location ”
We stayed a week at the De Walzl with our 11 year old and had the most amazing time. The Hotel is spotless, rooms are big, modern and airy. The rooftop pool is amazing to relax in after a day of walking around in 30+c heat and helped to refresh our legs! It is also open till 9pm which was great. … more
We stayed a week at the De Walzl with our 11 year old and had the most amazing time. The Hotel is spotless, rooms are big, modern and airy. The rooftop pool is amazing to relax in after a day of walking around in 30+c heat and helped to refresh our legs! It is also open till 9pm which was great. Brilliant links (bus and tram) to the city and free access to those if you stay over 2 nights. We didn't hire a car and didn't need one. Fabulous walks straight out of the door. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. Only ate there once in the evening as we were out and about all the time. All the staff friendly and really helpful. Thank you.

“Fantastic stay at The Walzl (Lans, Innsbruck)”

My wife and I spent a fatastic week at the Walzl in Lans, Innsbruck. Lans is a small, rural village about 10 to 15 mins outside of Innsbruck. It is set relatively high up in the mountains, with a backfrop of mountains, meadows and lakes. Lans itself is a small, residential village with a number of guesthouses. You can eat in any of these, and the food is great whichever you choose. In terms of hking and cycling, you can literally step out of the Walzl front door and pick well signposted trails of varying length and difficulty. Lansersee, for example, is a 20 min walk and there you can swim in the lake and get food and from a lovely cafe / restraurant. The Walzl hotel is excellent. The staff and service are excellent, and the roof top pool / terrace is great for relaxing after a day of walking. There is also a games room, library, sauna, and eBikes for hire. The staff are helpful and polite, making you feel welcome. The interior has a somewhat modern feel relative to the more traditional 'gasthofs' you'd expect to find in the area. The food is really good, both breakfast and evening meals. We will almost certianly return to the Walzl. It's an excellent place to stay if you want to relax, get away from the humdrum of city living, and have easy access to nature. For Innsbruck centre, there is a bus (every 10 mins) from just outside the Walzl to Innsbruck centre that takes about 15 mins.

It was a lot more than a tired group of mountaineers could have hoped for. Exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms that perfectly suited our needs. The food was exceptional, and the spa facilities were amazing! All the staff were immensely helpful, warm, and friendly but one in particular stood out and that was the receptionist - a true delight to talk to. Perfect location for visiting Innsbruck and the views are stunning. Can't wait to go back!

“So Bayern”
Family atmosphere. Kindness and simplicity of the staff. Lovely and typical house. Very good breakfast. Practical location with very near bus stop. Buses every 10 mn. Everything was perfect and we really enjoyed staying with you. We hope all your guests enjoy as we did.
