“Nice and quite hotel”

Just came back from a week long ski vacation to brixental valley. We choose this hotel as it was combined with ski pass of the region. Just came back from a week long ski vacation to brixental valley. We choose this hotel as it was combined with ski pass of the region. The hotel was reasonably well, descent room size, bathroom was bit small but ok, wellness was also nice with pool, food and breakfast was also good. Choices of menu item was limited but was ok.The highlight was the service provided by peter, very fast, dynamic and took care of all our food related needs. Throughout the week he was right on his toes all the time. The only thing which i missed was a snack in the evening. So far all the previous resorts we have been provides this facility which is great relaxation when you come tired skiing all day, specially kids. Otherwise great hotel and very good experience. Recommended.

This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location, although be aware that public transport in the village is very limited. The rooms were pot luck - I was first in off of the coach so was given the first available double room. It was in the annex, which was a bonus as it was a large corner room with a large balcony on two sides. The room best to us was even larger. Other couples had much smaller rooms with tiny balconies, while some single travellers described theirs as box rooms. Our room was very comfortable though, but there was an issue with the shower on the first day - it turned out that many others were using theirs at the same time so the water wasn't warm. There were no problems with it after that. The biggest problem was with the staff. We had all-inclusive drinks (local beer and wine) but that didn't apply in the bar! The only place to get them was at the back of the restaurant and was self-service. No problem there apart from the beer was very frothty and the glasses were 20cl - less than half a pint. It you went to the bar you could be waiting 10-15 minutes - not because of the queue but because no-one was serving. The evening meal was worse. The good was OK but the dining room was very crowded and uncomfortably warm - 30C with limited ventilation. The staff also refused to serve the main course until everyone on the table had finished their starters (soup and salad). That wasn't a problem if everyone on the table arrived at the same time. But on instances where on couple arrived at 18:00, anther at 18:20 and the third at 18:40. Those who arrived first and had finished the starters by 18:15 weren't allowed to have the main course until around 19:00, when the last couple to arrive had finished their starters. Dinner was from 18:00-19:30 so there was nothing wrong with people choosing to eat later, just the staff making others wait for them. Of all the hotels we have stayed with on Shearings holidays, this is the only one I wouldn't want to go back to, other than the Dolphin in Southampton.

“Wintersport '16/'17”

Reasonable 3 star hotel. Clean, pretty good food, nice sauna area. Friendly staff. But shutting down wifi between 23 - 07 hours is prehistoric. Another complaint: If the hotel is occupied you're at the same small table with complete strangers for lenght of you're stay. We certainly didn't like that!
